Institute of Technology Bandung or Bandung Institute of Technology is the best university in Indonesia specializing in Science and Technology.
However, this campus also provides the best art & design and management faculty you could find in Indonesia.
Additionally, the life you find there is the best you could get in this country. Providing both superior academic quality and rich student outdoor experiences, ITB is located in Bandung which is the fourth biggest city in Indonesia. Bandung or Paris Van Java, is the fashion city icon of Indonesia where culture, art and creativity are integrated into one. Also, the city's weather is rather cool than other cities.
Lastly, studying there will give you both really awesome experiences and pride as ITB is acknowledged by everyone here. Including industries, obviously.

Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) or Bandung Insitute of Technology or Institute of technology Bandung, was founded on March 2, 1959. The present ITB main campus is the site of earlier engineering schools in Indonesia. Although these institutions of higher learning had their own individual characteristics and missions, they left influence on developments leading to the establishment of ITB.
In 1920, Technische Hogeschool (TH) was established in Bandung, which for a short time, in the middle forties, became Kogyo Daigaku. Not long after the birth of the Republic of Indonesia in 1945, the campus housed the Technical Faculty (including a Fine Arts Department) of Universitas Indonesia, with the head office in Jakarta. In the early fifties, a. Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, also part of Universitas Indonesia, was established on the campus.
In 1959, the present lnstitut Teknologi Bandung was founded by the Indonesian government as an institution of higher learning of science, technology, and fine arts, with a mission of education, research, and service to the community.
Government Decree No. 155/2000 pertaining to The Decision on ITB as Legal Enterprise (Badan Hukum) has opened a new path for ITB to become autonomous. The status of autonomy implies a freedom for the institution to manage its own bussiness in an effective and efficient way, and to be fully responsible for the planning and implementation of all program and activity, and the quality control for the attainment of its institutional objective. The institution has also freedom in deciding their measures and taking calculated risks in facing tight competition and intense pressures.
Bosscha Observatory | Lembang - Bandung - Indonesia
Bosscha Observatory is the oldest observatory in Indonesia.
The observatory is located in Lembang, West Java, approximately 15 kilometers (9.3 mi) north of Bandung.

1. The Zeiss double refractor
2. The Schmidt telescope
3. The Bamberg refractor
4. The Cassegrain GOTO
5. The Unitron refractor
During the first meeting of the Nederlandsch-Indische Sterrekundige Vereeniging (Dutch-Indies Astronomical Society) in the 1920s,
it was agreed that an observatory was needed to study astronomy in the Dutch East Indies.
Of all locations in the Indonesia archipelago, a tea plantation in Malabar, a few kilometers north of Bandung in West Java was selected.
The observatory is named after the tea plantation owner Karel Albert Rudolf Bosscha, son of the physicist Johannes Bosscha
and a major force in the development of science and technology in the Dutch East Indies,
who granted six hectares of his property for the new observatory.
Construction of the observatory began in 1923 and was completed in 1928.
The first international publication from Bosscha was published in 1922.
Observations from Bosscha were halted during World War II and after the war a major reconstruction was necessary.
On 17 October 1951, the Dutch-Indies Astronomical Society handed over operation of the observatory to the government of Indonesia.
In 1959 the observatory's operation was given to the Institut Teknologi Bandung and has been an integral part of the research
and formal education of astronomy in Indonesia.

Jatinangor ITB Campus was established in 2011 on the 46 hectares of land owned by west java province's government. The Development of Jatinangor ITB Campus is a part of ITB's Long-Term Strategy to achieve it's vision and mission. APRESIASI ARSITEKTUR KAMPUS INSTITUT TEKNOLOGI BANDUNG, INDONESIA
fasad/façade(dibaca[fəˈsɑːd]) adalah suatu sisi luar (eksterior) sebuah bangunan, umumnya terutama yang dimaksud adalah bagian depan, tetapi kadang-kadang juga bagian samping dan belakang bangunan. Kata ini berasal dari bahasa Perancis, yang secara harfiah berarti depan atau muka (sumber: Wikipedia)
fasad bangunan merupakan bagian dari sistem bangunan yang berfungsi sebagai tampilan bangunan dan pembungkus atau penutup bangunan.
fasad yang baik minimal memiliki beberapa unsur; yakni keindahan, kenyamanan, dan keamanan.
Sang masterplanner pertama di kampus ITB, Henri Maclaine Pont, mencetuskan dasar pengembangan pembangunan kampus yang berbasis sense of identity dan sense of place, salah satu penerapannya yakni pembangunan Gedung Aula Timur dan Barat. Ia memadukan arsitektur tradisional dengan kemajuan konstruksi modern.
Pada 1970, masterplan pembangunan dialihkan kepada Prof. Slamet Wirasonjaya, ia menyusun kampus ITB menjadi 3 zona, yaitu zona tradisional (dimulai dari gerbang depan hingga gedung Teknik Sipil dan Teknik Fisika), zona transisi (zona tengah kampus; kawasan 4 labtek kembar), dan zona modern (wilayah pusat gaung hingga gedung perpustakaan pusat dan gedung PAU)
