Living Life On Bayou Corne Is Amazing~!
Right time, right place. I had been watching the little gator swim around. Then I saw the big gator start heading toward the little gator, and the little gator didn't know it. A snake pops up and starts to swim across the bayou then sees the little gator and turns around and heads to the shoreline. The little gator starts chasing the snake, then realizes the big gator is coming after him, so it becomes a race to the shore for both snake and little gator, and they both make it. The big gator struts around a little bit, then parks himself in full view blocking the canal where his mate is on a nest in the swamp.
More evidence that Bayou Corne is alive and thriving. In one 2.5 minutes video, you see gators, a snake, turtles, fish jumping, dragonflies, and you could also hear birds and swamp insects but I had music playing that did not go with the video (loud) so I silenced the sound.

110118 GATOR BAYOU ADVENTURE
Saturday morning at 10 a.m. Gator Bayou Adventure Park officially opens. Many wonders why at the beginning of winter would you open a water park. The answer, it is much more than a water park. Multi-story obstacle courses, gator exhibits, a petting zoo, restaurants, zip lines, and an 80-foot free fall platform. The project which many thoughts would never take off was started in 2013, Since then over 20-miles of underground water lines, sewer lines, additional retention ponds, thousands of yards of concrete and 150 fire hydrants. Many of the slides are still under construction and are expected to be complete Spring Break. Admission to the park is free, however, some of the extras will cost you such as feeding the Gators, some of the zip lines but this way you can come in and just watch or enjoy the day.
Gator Bayou is located on SH 242 just west of US 59. The hours will be 10-6

Do They Think It's Okay???
Surely these people can't believe it's okay to fish, crab, kayak, sail, wade and play in the waters????? I want a bullhorn to go blast them for being so blind and deaf to what has been going on here for a full 10 months now~! Don't they understand any of the dangers? Don't they care about their children's health? Do they really believe the propaganda they've been fed?
