Words cant' express my gratitude enough for your help and precious time, it really means a lot to me, I am just so full of love. Thank you is only the beginning. It will be two days that I will cherish forever♡ The vegan food in Warsaw was also endless and so incredibly delicious, it is truly a vegan heaven! I really hope that you enjoyed this vlog, and perhaps found it as inspiration to also visit Warsaw one day! There is so much to see and visit here, every place is unique in its own way, and I am so grateful for this experience. See you in the next vlog, and I am sending my wholehearted love to you xxx

Warsaw-Warszawa/Poland
Warsaw (Polish: Warszawa) is the capital and largest city of Poland. It stands on the Vistula River in east-central Poland, roughly 260 kilometres (160 mi) from the Baltic Sea and 300 kilometres (190 mi) from the Carpathian Mountains. Its population is estimated at 1.740 million residents within a greater metropolitan area of 2.666 million residents, which makes Warsaw the 9th most-populous capital city in the European Union. The city limits cover 516.9 square kilometres (199.6 sq mi), while the metropolitan area covers 6,100.43 square kilometres (2,355.39 sq mi).
In 2012 the Economist Intelligence Unit ranked Warsaw as the 32nd most liveable city in the World. It was also ranked as one of the most liveable cities in Central Europe. Today Warsaw is considered an Alpha– global city, a major international tourist destination and a significant cultural, political and economic hub. Warsaw's economy, by a wide variety of industries, is characterised by FMCG manufacturing, metal processing, steel and electronic manufacturing and food processing. The city is a significant centre of research and development, BPO, ITO, as well as of the Polish media industry. The Warsaw Stock Exchange is one of the largest and most important in Central and Eastern Europe. Frontex, the European Union agency for external border security, has its headquarters in Warsaw. It has been said that Warsaw, together with Frankfurt, London, Paris and Barcelona is one of the cities with the highest number of skyscrapers in the European Union.Warsaw has also been called Eastern Europe’s chic cultural capital with thriving art and club scenes and serious restaurants.
The first historical reference to Warsaw dates back to the year 1313, at a time when Kraków served as the Polish capital city. Due to its central location between the Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth's capitals of Kraków and Vilnius, Warsaw became the capital of the Commonwealth and of the Crown of the Kingdom of Poland when King Sigismund III Vasa moved his court from Kraków to Warsaw in 1596. After the Third Partition of Poland in 1795, Warsaw was incorporated into the Kingdom of Prussia. In 1806 during the Napoleonic Wars, the city became the official capital of the Grand Duchy of Warsaw, a puppet state of the First French Empire established by Napoleon Bonaparte. In accordance with the decisions of the Congress of Vienna, the Russian Empire annexed Warsaw in 1815 and it became part of the Congress Kingdom. Only in 1918 did it regain independence from the foreign rule and emerge as a new capital of the independent Republic of Poland. The German invasion in 1939, the massacre of the Jewish population and deportations to concentration camps led to the uprising in the Warsaw ghetto in 1943 and to the major and devastating Warsaw Uprising between August and October 1944. Warsaw gained the title of the Phoenix City because it has survived many wars, conflicts and invasions throughout its long history. Most notably, the city required painstaking rebuilding after the extensive damage it suffered in World War II, which destroyed 85% of its buildings. On 9 November 1940, the city was awarded Poland's highest military decoration for heroism, the Virtuti Militari, during the Siege of Warsaw (1939).
The city is the seat of a Roman Catholic archdiocese (left bank of the Vistula) and diocese (right bank), and possesses various universities, most notably the Polish Academy of Sciences and the University of Warsaw, two opera houses, theatres, museums, libraries and monuments. The historic city-centre of Warsaw with its picturesque Old Town in 1980 was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Other main architectural attractions include the Castle Square with the Royal Castle and the iconic King Sigismund's Column, St. John's Cathedral, Market Square, palaces, churches and mansions all displaying a richness of colour and architectural detail. Buildings represent examples of nearly every European architectural style and historical period. Warsaw provides many examples of architecture from the gothic, renaissance, baroque and neoclassical periods, and around a quarter of the city is filled with luxurious parks and royal gardens.Wikipedia

25 Things to do in Warsaw, Poland | Top Attractions Travel Guide
This was our first trip to Poland and we dove into the capital headfirst. While our travels may have started in the charming Old Town, it wasn't long before we discovered that Warsaw has a cool artsy side. We visited bright neon museums in the art district, shopped in boutiques selling soviet-chic apparel, and got to experience the capital's legendary nightlife. It many ways it was a whirlwind visit, but it was also a fun introduction that made us curious to discover more of Poland in our future travels. The following video will highlight 25 things to do in Warsaw and give you a glimpse into this up and coming capital.

25 Things to do in Warsaw, Poland | Top Attractions Tourism Guide Video Transcript:
Well hello and welcome to Warszawa. This week we are exploring the Polish capital. We've already been here a few days and it has been amazing. It has been such a pleasant surprise and unlike any part of Europe we've traveled in so far. So yeah, this week we're going to be highlighting 25 things to do around the city and we're excited to show you what it is all about.
We came to Warsaw with little to no expectations and the city completely surprised us. Our week in the capital was spent sampling Polish cuisine, learning about the city's past through museums and historical tours, and also dabbling in a bit of the nightlife. Warsaw is quickly rising through the ranks and we think it won't be long before travellers are flocking en masse. So if you're planning a trip to Poland, don't skip over the capital because there is more to Warsaw than meets the eye.
This is part of our Travel in Poland series. We're making a series of videos showcasing Polish culture, Polish arts, Polish foods, Polish religion, Polish cuisine and Polish people.

The Polish village of Osinow Dolny is close to the German border. It attracts horders of shoppers from across the border, keen to snap up bargains: Everything here is cheaper than in Germany. But what really makes it unusual is the extraordinary number of hairdressers: Most of the villages 200 residents work in its 30 hairdressing salons. The customers are elderly ladies from Germany, who are delighted that at 4 euros a go,a visit to the hairdresser's costs about as much as it did when they were young.

Warsaw, Poland - Finding Family
I’ve never been to Poland with my father. And so, when he told me he was going in May to get some paperwork done, I decided I’d join him, so that he could show me his hometown, and introduce me to his side of the family that I never met. In the meanwhile, I learned a lot of cool things about my dad and my relatives.
Also, this was my first trip without Martina...ever! And Martina got me a little something to help me from melting down. Check out our extra scenes to learn a bit more:

Warsaw Travel Guide - Discover The Beautiful Capital of Poland | 90+ Countries With 3 Kids
The capital of Poland, Warsaw, is a rapidly-developing city in Central Europe that attracts more and more visitors every day. A good place to start is most definitely the Royal Way which might be confusing as it’s not on the map. It’s a thoroughfare along which many of the city’s sights can be found and it actually comprises two streets Krakowskie Przedmiescie and Nowy Swiat.
The Old Town Square was once the heart of the city but due to the Second World War, the city’s Old Town is only that in name. The capital’s historic centre, dating back from the 13th century, was completely demolished during the conflict, and what visitors see today is essentially a 20th century restoration. That in itself is remarkable. There is information around the cobbled streets and squares detailing how the now-Unesco protected streets were meticulously reconstructed.
For the museum aficionados there are quite a few options. One is the award-winning Museum of the History of Polish Jews that opened in 2014 and that features a multimedia narrative exhibition exploring the life of the Jewish community that flourished in Poland for a thousand years up to the Holocaust. The Telegraph describes it as “full of noise and colour; with echoes of centuries of Yiddish chatter and the soulful sounds of klezmer music,”. The building housing the museum is in itself worth a visit - a post-modern, cube-like structure sat in a city park. Amazing.

Warsaw, Poland || Feb 2018 ❤
Hello!
Last month, I decided that I wanted to see the world one step at a time. My friend and I started with Poland and it's frosty capital, Warsaw. It was beautiful and such an amazing experience. We ate so much Pierogi and we danced in a cool, indie club. I had a chance to speak some of the (very little) Polish that I know and it was a right laugh. I loved the Polish life and would definitely go back again.
However, next up this year is; Quarteira, Portugal. Berlin, Germany. LA and San Francisco, California.. and hopefully more!
Love
