Tanner Tries Fraoch Heather Ale
After a trip to a local restuarant, Tanner discovers a rare find in Fraoch Heather Ale a beer made out of a 4000 year old Scottish recipe that is rarely found in the United States.
SIDE NOTE: I know the beer is called Fraoch Heather Ale and not Fraoch's Heather Ale. It was late in the evening and my brain turned on auto pilot on that one.
Also thanks to Ben for recommending the drink to me.

Innis & Gunn Scottish Stout - The Spit or Swallow Beer Review
Shagdog & Jammer try Inns & Gunn's Scottish Stout casked in Irish Whiskey Barrels!!
Following a sell-out debut and Gold medal at the International Beer Challenge in 2012, our Irish Whiskey Cask is back by popular demand!
The barrel-aged stout became hot property when it was released in February 2012. The world's first beer to be aged in former Irish whiskey barrels, it sold out in record time -- 40,000 bottles dispatched to Sweden vanished in just 10 days, and it was a similar story in Canada, the UK and the US -- and later gained industry acclaim at International Beer Challenge.

Innis & Gunn is a specialist independent brewing company based in Edinburgh, Scotland. Established in 2003, its beer has gone on to be the most popular British bottled beer sold in Canada, and second most popular in Sweden It was part of the nominated drinks list for the G8 Summit 2005 at Gleneagles Hotel.
The business is, since 2008, family owned following a management buy-out from its original part-owners, William Grant and Sons.
Their Innis & Gunn Original beer is brewed in Dunbar, East Lothian before being matured in American white oak Bourbon barrels for 30 days and is then a further 47 days in a marrying tun, and so it is matured for 77 days in total. It is 6.6% alcohol by volume. At first only available as a bottled beer it is now marketed both in bottles and as draught.
According to Innis and Gunn's website, the process was discovered in an ironic accident: the intent was to create a scotch whisky with ale flavours. To do this, a special beer was created which would then be stored in the whisky barrels. After the beer had conditioned the barrels, it was to be discarded and replaced with the whisky. The brewers noted that the process had an agreeable effect on the beer, and thus aging the beer became an end in itself.
Original - Innis & Gunn's flagship beer. Aged in oak barrels for 77 days.
Blonde - Lightly aged in oak barrels for 37 days.
Triple Matured - Limited edition that is triple matured in selected oak barrels for a total of 99 days.
India Pale Ale - Limited edition aged for 55 days in oak casks containing fresh hops.
Rum Cask/Finish - Aged in recycled casks previously used for storing and aging rum for 57days. Originally offered as a limited edition but is now regularly available.
Spiced Rum Finish - Limited edition aged in oak barrels finished with oak chips from Caribbean spiced rum barrels for 47 days.
Island Cask - Limited edition matured in Islay malt whisky barrels for 99 to 107 days depending on the release.
Highland Cask - Limited edition aged in recycled malt whisky casks. Maturation time for the beer and the age of the recycled single malt scotch barrels varies from batch to batch, from as little as 49 days (21-year-old) to 69 or 71 days (18-year-old).
Irish Whiskey Cask - Limited edition stout that is matured in Irish whiskey barrels for 60 days. Innis & Gunn state that the rare barrels come from a famous distillery in Ireland that is home to one of the great triple distilled Irish Whisksys, possibly implying that the barrels were previously used by Jameson.
Winter Beer - Limited edition seasonal brew that changes annually. 2010 was aged for 61 days with hints of ripe fruit, vanilla and caramel. 2011 was aged for 48 days with natural notes of orange zest, vanilla and oak. The 2012 bottling is notably different from previous batches as it is a porter, a first for Innis & Gunn, and is called the Winter Treacle Porter aged for 39 days and brewed with molasses with hints of fruit and chocolate.
