Bendeela Recreation Area - Kangaroo Valley, NSW

The Bendeela Recreation Area is a large open area for camping set on the banks of the Kangaroo River. There are no designated sites so you can set up anywhere you like. The township nearby is lovely and great for a visit. There are many bare-nosed wombats in the campground so you need to mindful to drive slowly. The waterhole has a large ramp which is used to launch kayaks.

CAMPING TRIP SOUTH OF MOSS VALE, NSW, Australia

The first camping trip in my 1998 Land cruiser. We traveled about 45 mins from Moss vale. Cool camping spots around here. Not too far from Sydney. We used the Coleman Quick pitch tent. One of the best tents I've used.

Lake Liddell Camping Area - Muswellbrook , NSW

The Lake Liddell Recreation Area is a beautiful spot on a lovely lake. There is plenty of room for lots of campers and there are hot showers and toilets. There are also powered sites, picnic tables, firepits and waater is available. You cannot enter the water or use the water in the lake due to a naturally occurring bacteria which can be dangerous to humans but this does not spoil the area. There is also some noise from the train line and the colliery across the lake. You can buy firewood from the reception area at the front of the campground.

HAPPY NEW YEAR! ^__^

As a summer trip for the holidays we headed to the south cost of NSW to Kangaroo Valley. Staying at Glenmack Park, there is a nearby Hamden Bridge where you can do kayaking - quite a nice view with hoarding sounds of the Australian bush; cicadas. Also had BBQ picnic down at Bendeela Recreation Area/Kangaroo River. Next day we headed to Fitzroy Falls via West Rim track. And for the new year, headed to Hyams Beach for a day and off to Cedar Creek Orchard for peach picking. (:

Mt Crawford Forest | ROCKY PADDOCK CAMPGROUND | SA Caravan/Camping

Mt Crawford Forest campground - Rocky Paddock. Great for any style of camping. We have taken our caravan here before and also done a swag trip, both worked great at this location. The campground has a hybrid toilet block and rainwater (not suitable for drinking). Only open to camp out of summer months. Great to have a fire in the winter. An easy 1 hour drive from Adelaide.

Warren Reservoir is open to the public for day visits (no camping). Great spot for a picnic. You can swim, fish and kayak in the reservoir. Picnic area has a bathroom also. 5 minute drive from Mt Crawford Visitor Information Centre.

These areas are full of wildlife so enjoy ????????
