Bidwell Park is a municpal park located in Chico California. The park was established in July 10th, 1905, through the donation by Annie Bidwell. This park is famous for its beauty flora and fauna. It has sweet spots for picnics, and for a quick dip in the creek. This park is tranquil and invitiing. The local population of Chico adds to the peacefull nature of the park.

Lying in the heart of the city of Chico, Bidwell Mansion State Historic Park stands as a tangible link to the history and legacy of John and Annie Bidwell, two of California’s most significant historical figures. The Bidwells act as a common thread linking stories of California’s prehistory to the turn of the 20th Century. By making their historic home open to the public, California State Parks is dedicated to creating for current and future generations a deeper awareness and understanding of the lives of John and Annie Bidwell and their important contributions to the social, cultural, and economic heritage of California.
Today, Bidwell Mansion represents one of the finest examples of early Victorian-era architecture. With the home restored to the 1868-1900 historic period, California State Parks conducts guided tours of the home on Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays. These tours allow guests to step back in time to learn about, and interact with, the 19th century world of the Bidwells. A modern Visitor Center adds to the experience by featuring exhibits and videos for visitors to enjoy. Meanwhile the parks grounds, lying adjacent to both downtown Chico and CSU, Chico, feature historic landscaping, including original Bidwell trees and a rebuilt carriage shed.

Distressed Downtown: Homelessness in Chico, CA
Chico's homeless and transient population has been growing in recent years. Chico is a major stop on the homeless highway. Travelers hear about Chico bearable climate, friendly community, and free meals. Some even come to Chico searching for seasonal work as marijuana trimmers.
With the growth increase came anti-social behavior and homeless encampments in the downtown area. The City of Chico realized that something needed to be done.
Distressed Downtown investigates the downtown climate that lead up to the formation of R-Town and the passing of the Sit-lie ordinance.
Talking to local city council members Randal Stone and Sean Morgan, business owners, downtown ambassadors, Attorney Alan Touchterman, Bill Such executive director of the Jesus Center, as well as homeless and transient people this documentary examines how a small town made progress to create a healthier town and environment for all it's residents.

Ebikes are perfect for touring around cities like Chico, California! Whenever we venture into cities to see their attractions we always get out our folding electric bicycles. They are so much more convenient and fun than navigating cities in our huge truck!
Today's adventures first take us to the Bidwell Mansion State Park, an elegant and opulent estate that has stood since 1868. General John Bidwell and his wife Annie Bidwell lived here since it's construction until the end of their lives.
After the 1 hour guided tour through the mansions 12,000 square feet and 26 rooms we hopped back on our ebikes and buzzed over to the Sierra Nevada Brewing Company for a guided tour through their facility. I had never had a Sierra Nevada beer so I was excited to see what I had been missing!
Another 1 hour guided tour explained the history of the company, the brewing process, and the equipment/machines they use to get the job done. The tour culminated with a free tasting of 4 of their famous beers - Pale Ale, Otra Vez, Tornado, and Narwhal. You know we left with a 6-pack of our favorite!

Hey guys had work today in the mourning. I also thought my roommate was going to be gone by the time I got home, however he missed his bus so I was happy I got to see him. Anyways after I got done with work I tried to go to the back but by the time I got there it had already closed so I took a little detour. Hope you guys enjoy.
Bidwell Sacramento River State Park
Bidwell–Sacramento River State Park is a state park of California, United States, preserving riparian habitat on the Sacramento River and its tributary Big Chico Creek. The park is located on the border of Butte County and Glenn County. Popular activities include fishing for salmon, steelhead and shad; and floating the river on inner tubes, canoes or kayaks. The 349-acre property was established as a state park in 1979.
The park's riparian habitat is a good quality example of a disappearing natural resource. The river's various landscapes display great scenic beauty and constant change. The riparian plant and animal communities depend strongly on each other. Massive oaks and cottonwoods give the dense shade needed for the survival of cool-water creatures.
