A BIT ABOUT ME: I consider myself to be an average rider. Not good with jumps, corners, and not very fast. As I continue to try and improve I find myself becoming more and more passionate about riding and wish I could do this every day. I watched many others start a MTB YouTube channel and thought it would be fun to start my own. All of them are really good riders and do an amazing job giving out information about trails, gear, and tips. I would like to think I could help review trails that aren’t as well known to encourage more bike traffic. Their channels really motivated me to move forward and put my own little twist on trail rides and mountain biking. I will do my best to inspire people to get out and ride and find people to share my adventures with.
Always on a quest to find great mountain bike trails, awesome mountain bike friends, helpful mountain biking tips, and amazing MTBing Adventures.
The Beauty of Upper Bidwell Park in Chico CA
The other day I was walking around in Upper Bidwell Park admiring the beautiful, lush environment and for a moment, I felt as though I was transported into a postcard. Knowing that we only get to enjoy this spring gift for a very short time, I decided to try and capture what I saw. I spent the day with my video camera capturing the beauty of Upper Park in the Spring.
South Bidwell Epic - Bidwell Park - Chico, Ca - Mountain Biking
I have been wanting to get up to Bidwell Park in Chico for quite some time for a few reasons. One, there are mountain bike trails there. Two, Sierra Nevada Brewing is there as well!!! That's a win win in my book! This ride was extremely challenging. For some reason I was completely out of my element and it was not a good ride to be in that space. Overall the climb was a bear, but not a complete shit show. The last part up 10 Mile Road was extremely steep. I won't lie, I walked a bunch of that. However the downhill that followed was really fun, but extremely pedally. I will say that initially after the ride I was a little disappointed in how pedally the downhill section was compared to the amount of work put in on the climb. However, any day on the dirt is a good day, and I was sooooo in my head that day that I'm sure I wasn't rolling through things fast enough to keep the right amount of momentum. With all that being said, I will go back. After watching the footage of the ride a lot of the fun parts came back to me. I think riding Bidwell and going to the brewery afterwards was a great day and definitely will be something that happens again in the future! #MountainBiking #Singletrack #Biking

Christmas Hiking in Upper Bidwell in Chico California
We went for a hike in Upper Bidwell Park in Chico, CA while we were visiting for Christmas. There are a couple of trails along the South side of the park. We tried all three: The Annie Bidwell Trail, The Guardian Trail, and the South Rim Trail. For this hike, we started near Canyon Oaks Country Club on the Guardian trail and hiked along the ridge for about 3 miles. We then cut down the hill on the Bloody Pin Trail to the river. We then took the Annie Bidwell trail back to towards Bear Hole where we climbed back up the ridge to the Guardian trail and our starting point. The whole trip took around 3.5 hours and we hiked just over 6 miles. It's a great place to explore and there are many more trails and areas left for us to check out.

Getting to Know and Love Chico
Had a lot of fun filming and editing the short piece below. It's a snippet introduction to the vibrant and robust city of Chico.
Over the coming weeks I'll fill in the blanks including the college town vibe and the stellar Bidwell Park. These two entities comprise the backbone of the community and it's abundant flavor of people and personalities.
It's Thursday afternoon and I'm preparing for foul weather through the weekend. This will be the second time thus far on my walk where I don't break camp in the morning. I plan on using breaks in the weather to wrap-up a piece I'm doing on Bidwell Park and just chill.
A thumbnail on Bidwell Park by WikiPedia[1]: The park was established July 10, 1905 through the donation by Annie Bidwell (widow of Chico's founder, John Bidwell) of approximately 2,500 acres (10 km²) of land to the City of Chico. Since that time, the City has purchased additional land, such as Cedar Grove in 1922, and 1,200 acres (5 km²) of land south of Big Chico Creek in upper Bidwell Park in 1995. Today, the total Park size is 3,670 acres (15 km²), nearly 11 miles (18 km) in length, making it the third largest municipal park in California and one of the 25 largest city parks in the United States.'
