Guided Bird-Watching in Pipeline Road - Gamboa Rainforest Resort
One of the activities available at our resort is, as the title of this video says, a guided bird-watching tour on the nearby Pipeline Road--Panama's most famous birding destination. The man on the left, wearing khaki, is one of our guides. As you can see--or in this case, hear--it's a quiet experience as bird watching should be.

Gamboa Panama and Jungleland Lodge part 1
After a trip to Panama City, Panama for work, I took an extra day to go visit the Jungleland Lodge in Gamboa, Panama. The lodge sets floating in an isolated cove on Gatun Lake and is like nothing I've ever visited before. Capt. Carl , the owner, was a great host and a wealth of knowledge. My only regret is that I didn't say longer.

Slaty-backed Forest-Falcon in Pipeline Road, Panama
Forest falcons of the genus Micrastur are similar to Accipiter raptors, in terms of hunting behavior and appearance. They are more often heard than seen, so when we had the opportunity to film a very obliging individual, that kept calling despite of our presence, we thought it was worth sharing with everyone!
