Our visit Kathmandu travel guide documentary covers some of the top attractions including a food guide (best restaurants and street food), top museums, fascinating temples and the city by day and evening when Kathmandu comes alive at night. We also cover off-the-beaten-path activities you won't find in a typical Kathmandu tourism brochure, Kathmandu city tour or Kathmandu itinerary.
Kathmandu City Guide | Nepal Travel Series Transcript:
Well good morning. It is our first full day in Kathmandu (काठमाडौं). We are up bright and early. Sometimes it’s nice to be surprised by a destination, so we arrived in Kathmandu (काठमाडौं) without a whole lot of prior research. We knew we wanted to see the temples and palaces around Durbar Square (Basantapur Darbar Kshetra), but that was about it. We were up early, but Kathmandu (काठमाडौं) was buzzing. Scooters were racing to work, vendors were setting up their fresh produce, and construction work was underway.
Alright, so next up we are in Indrachok (इन्द्रचोक) It is a market area and yeah very lively. We're at the Garden of Dreams. Garden of Dreams (स्वप्न बगैंचा) and there is a beautiful little cafe & restaurant here. So we're just relaxing. These gardens are partly funded by the Austrian government. It is momo (饃饃) time. So we ordered vegetable momo today.
It is day 2 in Kathmandu (काठमाडौं) and today's excursion is to the Monkey Temple. The name is Swayambhunath (स्वयम्भू स्तूप).
We just finished visiting the Monkey Temple. We're riding a taxi to visit Pashupatinath Temple (पशुपतिनाथ मन्दिर) which is one of the more popular ones here in Kathmandu (काठमाडौं).
This next temple is a sacred Hindu site (पशुपतिनाथ मन्दिर) where many believers choose to be cremated. According to the Nepalese Hindu tradition, the body must be dipped three times into the Bagmati River in order to break the reincarnation cycle.
So today is our last day in Kathmandu (काठमाडौं) and we've been staying in the neighborhood of Thamel. It is kind of like the touristy area. They have a lot of shops where you can pick-up souvenirs and like little trinkets to take back home. So we're going to do a bit of shopping.
Today we are having Dal Bhat (दालभात). We've been eating Dal Bhat (ডাল ভাত) very very often. So much so Sam has declared it his favorite dish.
Lastly in Kathmandu (काठमाडौं), we went in search of a rooftop terrace to enjoy a drink & watch the sunset with colourful prayer flags blowing in the wind.
This is part of our Travel in Nepal video series showcasing Nepali food, Nepali culture and Nepali cuisine.

Traveling to Kathmandu, Nepal | YAK RU TOUR 2018
Finally, we kick off our grand tour of the Manang Valley with the first step: getting to Nepal!
I'm grateful for this chance to have RAW Epics working to bring the tour/MTB trip iteration of Yak Ru - which was held last October as a high-altitude 'blind' enduro race - to life. Keep following the adventure by keeping an eye on the playlist Riding The Himalayas ( on this channel.
Traveling from Singapore's Changi Airport with Sunil Sharma of Yak Ru, we set out early to prep the way for the riders. It's a work trip for us, but our day spent getting to Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal, is not uneventful by any means! Check it out...

Sarangkot Sunrise View Annapurna Himalayas Pokhara Nepal | Holidays Tour and Travel
About, all journey catalog details a big episode on Nepal. The countryside is bestowed with world peak mountain, Mt. Everest and also views the never-ending...
Sarangkot city, Pokhara in Nepal is the small hilltop which is famous for its breath taking view of sunrise and Annapurna range (26,200ft) and Fishtail (Virgin Mountain). Annapurna trek is a massif in the Himalayas (29,000ft) in north-central Nepal. This is very important in Nepal trekking or Nepal hiking. The Annapurna Conservation Area or Annapurna base camp trek is home to several world class treks, including Annapurna trekking Sanctuary and Annapurna Circuit. Annapurna lies along with the Mount Everest (the Himalayas). Everest Mountain, conquering which is dream for all hikers. Annapurna trekking is however nonetheless easier than climbing Everest or trekking Everest base camp trek. Rather it holds a tragic fatality rate.
Sarangkot, Pokhara is a must visit place in Nepal tour/ Pokhara tour.
There are two ways to catch-up the supreme morning on top of Sunrise Mountain view, the eternal play of light and darkness. If you want to hike to the place, you should start in the afternoon. In about 3 hours of the uphill, but beautiful walk with forests, blue sky, birds and scenes of Pokhara city valley and its surrounds, you can reach Sarangkot. In that case, you can view the sunset as well. But, if you just want to make it to the place to view sunrise in the morning, you can drive from the lakeside early at 5 o’clock.
From here, you can see a panoramic sweep of Himalayan peaks, from Dhaulagiri (8167m) in the west to the perfect pyramid that is Machhapuchhare (6997m) and the rounded peak of Annapurna II (7937m) in the east. Most people come here at dawn or dusk, when the sun picks out the peaks in brilliant colors.

Hello Everyone!
We are trying to put the videos from the different country as |Virtual Tours| to know the Different people, Different culture, Different lifestyle, where the people come to see it.
Nepal - Himalaya - Kathmandu
See the best accommodations Nepal, officially the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal, is a landlocked sovereign state located in South Asia. It is located in the Himalayas and bordered to the north by the People's Republic of China, and to the south, east, and west by the Republic of India. With an area of 147,181 square kilometres (56,827 sq mi) and a population of approximately 30 million, Nepal is the world's 93rd largest country by land mass and the 41st most populous country. Kathmandu is the nation's capital and the country's largest metropolis.
Nepal has a rich geography. The mountainous north has eight of the world's ten tallest mountains, including the highest point on Earth, Mount Everest, called Sagarmatha in Nepali. It contains more than 240 peaks over 20,000 ft (6,096 m) above sea level. The fertile and humid south is heavily urbanized.
By some measures, Hinduism is practised by a larger majority of people in Nepal than in any other nation. Buddhism, though a minority faith in the country, is linked historically with Nepal. Many Nepali do not distinguish between Hinduism and Buddhism and follow both religious traditions. There are 3 different buddhist traditions: Himalayan Buddhism, Buddhism of Kathmandu Valley (mostly Mahayana and Vajrayana), and also the Theravada Buddhism.
A monarchy throughout most of its history, Nepal was ruled by the Shah dynasty of kings from 1768, when Prithvi Narayan Shah unified its many small kingdoms. However, a decade-long Civil War by the Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist) and several weeks of mass protests by all major political parties led to the 12 point agreement of November 22, 2005. The ensuing elections for the constituent assembly on May 28, 2008 overwhelmingly favored the abdication of the Nepali monarch Gyanendra Shah and the establishment of a federal multiparty representative democratic republic. The first President of Nepal, Ram Baran Yadav, was sworn in on July 23, 2008. ( source Wikipedia )

The very first video about Kathmandu that I created where I ventured out trying the minibus with other local. From Manamaiju to the touristy center of Thamel, I get to experience everything in one day. I explored several temples, shops and many other things. As I was trying to go back to my accommodation, I realized that there is no organized transportation system in Kathmandu. I didn't know how to get back to my accommodation and was helped by the locals.

ABOUT ME
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hello there! If you make it this far, welcome!
I am Syifa, an Indonesian female solo traveler, who started solo traveling in 2013. I enjoy budget traveling by staying with locals, motorbike riding but also like to explore local food.
After working for the government till 2016, I left Indonesia to pursue long-term traveling. As naive as I was, it only lasted me for 5 months throughout Asia. In January 2017 I moved to China for an English teaching job, which was considered to be my first living abroad experience. Stayed until May 2018, living in China has changed me, in a good way.
I love traveling and creating travel videos on Youtube. It is such a rewarding work for me that I do wish this would last me for a while.
