The Real Cruising Lifestyle | Sailing & Exploring Placencia Belize | S03E14
In this episode we show the real cruising lifestyle while sailing and exploring Placencia, Belize. We wander the sleepy streets of Placencia, grab some coffee and breakfast, and check out the grocery store and veggie stands so that Desiree has a game plan for re-provisioning. Jordan finds a leak in the raw water pump on our 25 HP Beta Marine, and attempts to fix it.

Downwind Sailing Techniques | Sailing to Placencia Belize | Asymmetrical Spinnaker Sailing | S03E13
While Sailing to Placencia Belize we explain our downwind sailing techniques and talk about asymmetrical spinnaker sailing!
It was hard to say goodbye to air conditioned bathrooms and hot water showers, but once underway for Placencia we were rewarded with perfect sailing conditions, giving us time to reflect on our journey thus far as well as discuss many of our downwind sailing equipment choices and techniques.

Ep. 01: Blue Water & Boobies!
Our viewers asked for more sailing footage. They asked us to leave the cameras running and give an honest look at our everyday life aboard Temptress. So we did.
In this episode, we start our 16-day adventure back to Florida with a full day of blue water sailing from George Town to Cat Island. Prepare yourself for lots of wind, booby sightings, and even some drama below decks! And of course, lots of sailing footage over big, beautiful blue water! We hope you enjoy.
Because of the level of wind in this episode (and in our life), we have gone to extra effort to prepare closed captions for our viewers. Select captions under your settings so you don't miss a word of the drama.
Please tell us in the comments if you like this new style of video. Questions or comments? Leave them below! We do our best to read and answer all comments on our channel.

SE4 EP119 Look at this place...! South Water Caye Belize Catamaran Sailing
In this episode; With KC and Lisa, after waiting out a day of bad weather in Sapodilla Lagoon we navigate Saltair3 through the turquoise blue but shallow and complicated waters out to paradise. About 30 miles from Placencia, out near the barrier reef is a gorgeous but small Caye known as South Water Caye. White sand beach, crystal clear waters that let you see straight to the coral sea floor and an area full of amazing sea life.
Bloopers at the end of the video!

Spotting Land After 25 DAYS AT SEA!! (MJ Sailing - Ep 80)
Our Trans-Atlantic voyage is approaching the end!
We pick up this video on Day 18, after we get the news that our friends on s/v Calico Skies are arriving in Horta, while we still have 700 miles left and can expect winds on the nose for the next 72 hours.
After plugging through those, we go back to our sunny and calm days and while spending a little time outside get the opportunity to see some sea life in the water. Huge groups of sea salp are floating next to our boat, and we even put the GoPro in the water to get a better look.
While we're stuck in what we hope is the last of our high pressure systems, we throw up our drifter to see how it works in place of a spinnaker. At over 40 years old we weren't sure what to expect with this sail, but it did a great job of giving us a little extra oomph!
Then...there's landfall! The day we had been waiting to see for such a long time! Even though we had a fantastic crossing and loved our time at sea, we were more than ready to dock in Horta and begin enjoying the wonderful Azores again.
Much love from the Atlantic Ocean!

Living on a Sailboat in Belize! Travel Vlog Pt.1
We spent a few days living on a sail boat in Belize and sailed all along the barrier reef for some gorgeous blue and turquoise oceans, snorkeling and lots of wildlife! Plus I love living on the ocean so spending time in cramped quarters on a boat is no big deal - although everyone else got pretty seasick!
This travel vlog of one of my last adventures in Belize had to be split into two parts because there were just so many incredible sights and moments. It was the perfect way to celebrate my mom's 60th birthday! A big thank you to Felicitiy Sailing for their hospitality (

Cruising Belize Bareboat Charter Sailing
Here is a more detailed look at our bareboat charter in Belize 2017. This was our second trip, first time with friends. We had some serious adverse weather conditions which required us to change our sail plan drastically. We laid up in Placencia Bay for two nights. After a rough sail to Hatchet Cay we ended up staying ashore the second night as they had availability. Our first night aboard, while moored at Hatchet was quit rough, to say the least. Great time with great friends! A true adventure resulting in some great stories. Big winds sailing the off season!

Also a bonus aerial view as we launch the Phantom 4 Drone to share what this area looks like from above...
We welcome Bruce and Brenda, John and Cory aboard Saltair3 to share the experience of learning to sail a big Cat and what it's really like living a life on the Sea.

Hello NEW MOTOR!! Goodbye old Smokey! (Sailing Nandji) Ep 118
With Nandji on the hard stand, it is time to get this old engine off our boat! Good Riddance Old Smoky!
In this episode of Sailing Nandji, with Nandji firmly set on the hard stand our boat refit begins. After having so many troubles with our old engine in the past, this was the first job tackled, ripping out the old engine. Nandji is a centre cockpit vessel and the engine is directly below the cockpit, making the obvious choice for removal through the cockpit, hence cutting a hole in the floor.
We plan to overhaul the entire engine compartment and everything to do with the old engine. New drive system including gearbox, new exhaust system and new fuel system, including the fuel tank itself. The old fuel tank was made out of steel and had become rusty and no doubt close to leaking, time to fix everything and get this old stuff of our boat. With some clever rigging techniques, steadily the old fuel tank and our old engine Old Smoky are removed and taken away.
We are a young couple with a dog, who with no sailing experience, bought a yacht, got it blue water cruising ready and set off sailing around the Pacific! We have just sailed 2000nm through Indonesia and have arrived to Malaysia to complete major boat work, ready for the next big adventure. We departed Australia 18 months ago and have since explored some amazing countries, met some beautiful people and experienced different cultures, dived pristine reefs, surfed solo in the middle of nowhere, spent weeks at sea, dealt with storms, big waves, strong winds and had the time of our life doing it! The adventure is just beginning as we sail West with the trades!
