Louisiana Beer Reviews: Coniston Bluebird Premium XB
4.4% alcohol (for the American market). Brewed in England.
Bluebird XB combines two of the great themes of ale brewing to produce something distinctive and new. The fine tradition of English Pale Ale is about quaffing, refreshment and complexity of flavour without alcoholic strength. Then throw in new wave American hop variety Mount Hood with robust citrus aromas and the result is a smooth ale with floral hints, light malt tones and a hoppy freshness.

A visit to Coniston Water
328mph at Coniston Water
4th January 1967 Donald Campbell went out on Coniston Water with the intention of beating his own water speed record and attempt to push the record over 300mph. On his return run he passed the start markers at 328mph, shortly after Bluebird K7 flipped and sank to the bottom of Coniston water, taking Donald Campbell with her.
With drone technology I decided to see try to see just what 328mph looks like over water. Using a DJI Inspire 1 v2 mounted with a zenmuse x3 camera I decided to fly as low as I dare over Coniston water, then using Final Cut Pro speed up the footage to gain an insight of the rush of going so fast over the water. The footage is the same clip at 45mph, 90mph & 328mph equivalent with black breaks between each clip.
