The purpose of the video is to document my journey as much as possible. During my research for the journey, it was difficult to find a visual content for this adventure therefore I decided to film and share it with the rest of the world. Every clip is combined in a good order and on day to day basis, so it is easy to follow. I am not used to it but I have also tried my best to narrate and guide the audience through the video.
Your feedback will be of great help in progressing onto further journey and documentaries therefore please feel free to leave some ideas and suggestions as a comment.
Thank you.

Magical MANANG - NAR PHU (Phoo) Valley and KANG LA Pass Trek Episode One
#visitnepal
During the monsoon of 2018, we found the perfect trekking destination, Nar Phu (Phoo) Valley in Manang. While it was showering heavily all around Nepal, this region was all green with little to no rain.
We witnessed the greenery of the highlands, the spring of the himalaya and so so many waterfalls.
On this two part series, we take you to Phu village, the first major destination of the trek.

The High Pass: Trekking the Annapurna Circuit in Nepal
The Annapurna Circuit is a trek in central Nepal that climbs to an altitude of 5,400m through Thorung La pass, one of the highest trekking passes in the world, below peaks that rise 6000-8000m in elevation from the Annapurna Range. We attempted to complete the trek in about 15 days starting mid-December of 2013, when the shoulder season promised much smaller crowds but with it a risk of deep snow that early winter can bring to the Pass.

Journey to Upper Dolpa - Hidden Beauty of Nepal
Dolpo is a high-altitude culturally Tibetan region in the upper part of the Dolpa District of western Nepal, bordered in the north by China. Its one third Part of the region lies in Shey Phoksundo National Park. The sparse, agro-pastoral population, known as Dolpo in standard Tibetan and Dhol-wa in the local dialect, is connected to the rest of Nepal via Jufal airport, which can be reached in three days by horse.
The Dolpo are generally adherents of Bon, a religion whose origins predate Buddhismbut whose modern form is officially accepted as a fifth school of Tibetan Buddhism. The remote region has preserved its Tibetan culture in relatively pure form, making it attractive to Westerners. Dolpa was the location for the 1999 Oscar-nominated film Himalaya and more recently for the German documentary Dolpo Tulku.
In spite of the near inaccessibility of the region and tourism restrictions for the more remote parts, Dolpa is a popular destination for trekking tourism.
Dolpo is geologically part of the sedimentary Tibetan-Tethys zone. It is surrounded by Himalayan mountain chains including the Dhaulagiri (8,172 metres (26,811 ft)). These cloud barriers cause a semi-arid climate, with reported annual precipitations of less than 500 millimetre.
Agriculture is possible at heights of 3,800 to 4,180 metres (12,470 to 13,710 ft) (villages of Shimen Panzang Valley and Chharka, respectively) but often requires irrigation. Apart from barley, crops include buckwheat, millet, mustard, wheat, potatoes, radishes, and spinach. Similar to transhumance in the Alps, the population migrates between villages and high-lying (4,000 to 5,000 metres or 13,000 to 16,000 feet) summer pastures, in a lifestyle referred to as samadrok (roughly farming nomads).
Dolpo makes up the greatest part of the area of the Dolpa District, but the district's population is concentrated in the lower southern parts, where also most of the VDCs are located.
Manaslu Circuit Trek in Nepal With Tsum Valley - 2019
The Manaslu Circuit and Tsum Valley is a trek in Nepal, which reaches an altitude of 5,100m at Larke Pass through the base of Mount Manaslu, the 8th highest mountain in the world. These unspoiled mountain valleys feature a mix of raw Himalayan nature and ancient Buddhist culture, with Manaslu and Tsum Valley offering the most striking and jaw-dropping scenery of the entire Himalayas.
You don't have to look far to find reports that overcrowding is a growing issue, both on Mount Everest and other classic trails in Nepal. However, the Manaslu and Tsum Valley remain off the beaten path and are among the least crowded treks in the western region of Gorkha Nepal. The trek also offers a lot more side-trips than any other base camp, although the majority of visitors would only explore the Manaslu circuit. However, with a pre-planned NEST Adventure, the team in Kathmandu has made it possible to explore the Himalayan landscapes and Buddhist culture of Manaslu with an additional side trip to Tsum Valley.

Patan Durbar Square Lalitpur
The Kathmandu valley alone holds seven UNESCO world heritage sites. Durbar square, Pashupatinath, Swayambhunath, Boudhanath, Bhaktapur, Patan, and Changu Narayan are all worth your time to visit and will provide a lifetime of memories.
Nature.
Nepal has an incredible range of flora and fauna. Nowhere else will you get to see Red Pandas and Snow Leopards living in the same region. Thar, Pika’s, Blue Sheep and Marmots inhabit the Alpine areas. Pristine mountain streams cascade down from glaciers. 852 species of birds call Nepal home including the Spiny Babbler and the Red-Headed Trogan.
Exploring our southern National Parks you can see Tiger, Leopard, Rhino, Sloth Bear, Hyena and Crocodiles in their natural environment. Nepal is the home of Rhododendrons, where springtime fills whole mountainsides with colour.
Magical Nepal in 2020?
Magical Nepal can help provide guidance and ideas for virtually anything you want to do in Nepal. Trips can be tailored to families with young children, those with time constraints, or those wishing to focus on specific things like bird-watching. Below are just a few examples.
One Day Hike – Bhaktapur is a world heritage listed walled medieval city full of amazing temples and only 20 km from Kathmandu.

Best place to visit around Kathmandu
Chisapani is a hillside station only one hours drive from Kathmandu. A 2 hour walk takes you through sub-tropical forests to Malkharka for lunch then a further 1.5 hours to Chisapani for great mountain views.
Short Treks – The Nagakot trek is only three day but provides spectacular views of the Annapurna’s as well as staying at Nagakot a classic Newari village with open courtyards giving it a European feel.
The Dolakar trek is only 5 days and provides everything from Buddhist temples to stunning Rhododendron forests and views from Annapurna to Everest.
The Everest view trek is only 6 days. Trekking to Namche Bazaar provides views of the Khumbu glacier as well as Everest for those with time restraints or are unable to trek at higher altitudes.
15 Day Treks – Two weeks to 15 days opens up most of the treks in Nepal. Everest base camp, Annapurna base camp, and the Manalsu circuit just to name a few.
3 to 4 week Treks – Remote and spectacular. The Annapurna circuit, Kanchenjunga base camp, and the Dolpo region are some of our favourites.
Treks for the super fit – The Everest 3 passes trek, Nar Phu Valley trek, Makalu base camp trek and finally the Sherpani Col trek possibly Nepal’s hardest with 3 passes, one being over 5000 metres and the other two over 6000 metres.

A trek north of Kathmandu in Langtang NP, which borders on Tibet. We went from village to village across the mountains to almost unaccessible places.
The people were so friendly and nice, it is a delightful place to trek as there are few trekkers here.
Indipendent: Annapurna to Dhorpatan Hunting Reserve - Long Distance Trekking Nepal. Part 1
There are not many regions you are aloud to go trekking without a guide in Nepal. Usually you share your track with people and guides who have both no idea about the outdoors and alpine terrain alike. That's why we are choosing routes of the tourist tracks. We started to walk in Darbang and crossed to now the Dhorpatan Hunting Reserve and have seen no Tourist at all (June 2018). We continue our track on more busy tracks (with locals) to Jumla. There we pick up Jonas and make our way back via high passes of 4500m plus to some road end west of Dhorpatan.
Jonas got ill during cycling and could not join us. We finishd therefore our track in Jumla.

The Manaslu Circuit Trek and Tsum Valley, at the Nepal Himalayas in 2018
On 28 March to 12 April 2018, my friend Amir and I completed the Manaslu Circuit Trek, with a detour to the secluded Tibetan region Tsum Valley. We were guided by the friendly and highly competent Harry Pokhrel (Adventures Leader Nepal Pvt. Ltd.).
From lush green valleys to snowy plateaus, going up to a maximum altitude of 5106 m when crossing the Larkya La, encountering mules and yaks and blue sheep and the adorable marmots along the way, we were never far away from Nepali hospitality and couldn't have asked for a more breathtakingly beautiful experience. Hopefully this inspires you, dear viewer, to take your own journey to Manaslu and/or any other Nepali Himalayan trek.

Mugu : The Conscience of karnali
The Conscience of Karnali looks at the status of development in the Mugu district of Karnali. The film raises questions on where issues such as employment, technology, education and health stand amidst a largely isolated community in a highly globalised world. The film is a visual journey across a long and arduous trek to some of the most remote villages in Nepal and an interaction with the locals and what they would like to see happening. Development will perhaps eventually come in, but then, what exactly are we looking for when we think of 'developing' a place?
