Plants In The City Ep.01: URBAN FARM IN SYDNEY!
Hey guys!
I wanted to start a series where I show you all the green places around and in my city, Sydney. As we live and work in increasingly urban areas I think its important for us to find ways to connect with nature such as finding pockets of plants and greenery in big cities!
First episode in my 'Plants in the City' series features an urban farm concept store called Cultivate. It operates as a co-working space and will have a cafe opening there soon! I had the pleasure of visiting and filming it last Friday so I hope you enjoy!
Cultivate is located on 275 Kent St, Sydney. You can learn more about them here:

Camperdown Cemetery is an historic cemetery located on Church Street in Newtown, an inner-city suburb of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. The cemetery was founded in 1848 and was for twenty years the main general cemetery for Sydney, with the total number of burials being about 18,000. Many people who were important to the early history of colonial Australia are buried there.
It is the only one of Sydney's three main early cemeteries that still exists.[1]
As well as historic monuments, the cemetery also preserves important elements of landscape gardening of the mid-19th century, and examples of native flora, which are now rare in the built-up inner city. St Stephen's Anglican Church is located within the present bounds of the cemetery. The site, with St Stephen's Church, is listed by the Heritage Council of New South Wales and the National Register as a site of national importance.[2]
Camperdown Cemetery is associated with numerous sensational stories, several reputed ghosts and a murder. It is used regularly for historical and genealogical research. Because of its historical importance and convenient location, it is also a venue for excursions by schools and historical societies. Camperdown Cemetery is valued by the residents of Newtown as providing a major greenspace located in the immediate vicinity of a busy commercial centre. In a densely populated area of small terrace houses without substantial gardens, the cemetery functions as a recreational area and a venue for many family and social activities.

Royal Botanical Gardens | Guilfoyle's Volcano | Melbourne | Australia
Walk through the beautiful Royal botanical gardens situated in heart of the Melbourne City. A must visit place if you are nature lover.
The Royal Botanic Gardens Melbourne are internationally renowned botanical gardens located near the centre of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, on the south bank of the Yarra River. They are 38 hectares (94 acres) of landscaped gardens consisting of a mix of native and exotic vegetation including over 10,000 individual species.
The Royal Botanic Gardens have a second division in the outer Melbourne suburb of Cranbourne, some 45 km south-east of the city. The 363 hectare (897 acres) Royal Botanic Gardens, Cranbourne have a focus solely on Australian native plants, and feature an award-winning special section called the Australian Garden, which was opened in May 2006.
The Royal Botanic Gardens Melbourne are adjacent to a larger group of parklands directly south-east of the city, between St. Kilda Road and the Yarra River known as the Domain Parklands.
These gardens were bestowed the title of “Royal” by none other than Queen Elizabeth II in 1958, and rightfully so — they’re home to 31 plant collections, the award-winning Australian Garden, and they’re free to enter. While you’re there, don’t miss the Melbourne Observatory, which is open for night tours.
