The Bourgogne wines invite you to discover the new Régionale appellation with a local identification: Bourgogne Côte d'Or.
The production area extends across all the villages of the Côte de Beaune and Côte de Nuits, from south of Dijon to the Maranges area.
Winegrowers called it Bourgogne Côte d’Or in reference to the sloping hillside where the wines grow. Here, the French word “Or” doesn’t mean “gold”. It’s actually a shortening of “Orient”, indicating that it is facing the East. This favorable inclination partly explains the excellence of the wines produced on the Côte de Beaune and Côte de Nuits, from vines that enjoy the rising sun.

WOW! France is so beautiful I really can't believe it. I wanna live here one day for sure. This was a small city in the Burgundy (wine) region in France and we stayed there for 5 nights. A short trip out of the city would bring us to some of the most beautiful countryside vistas I've ever seen!

Bouchard Aîné & Fils, founded in 1750 in Beaune, the historical heart of Burgundy, has earned acclaim for its expertise in crafting Burgundy’s treasured Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Its cellars in the Hôtel du Conseiller du Roy, a classic 18th-century maison, reveal the history of the winery and of Burgundy – the birthplace of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. For over two centuries, Bouchard Aîné & Fils has pursued perfection in quality, authenticity in style and prestige in name.
A regional appellation grown throughout the wine-growing area of Burgundy. The Bourgogne blanc appellation covers approximately 1000 hectares. Throughout the wine-growing area, there are multiple terroirs which allow a wide range of aromas in the wines. Depending on its origin, a Bourgogne Chardonnay will taste either of flint, fresh butter or acacia flower. This is why our viniculturist plays a very important part in selecting the grapes, because he is the one responsible for expressing the Chardonnay the we want it, in the respect of the House's know-how.
Tasting Notes
Appearance:
A crystal-clear gold tinged with green highlights.
Aroma:
Open with notes of white blossoms, white-fleshed fruits, and hazelnuts.
Palate:
Frank and full attack, with citrus flavors. Lively mouthfeel, longlasting with acacia blossom flavors.
Vintage Notes:
This vintage stands out thanks to a winning combination: grapes with optimum maturity and great sanitary conditions. 2015 is already a scrumptious vintage!
