Butch Davis States He'll Stay At Miami(FL) Until 2010
Hilarious ESPN clip of a Butch Davis interview just before the 2001 Sugar Bowl where he states without a doubt that 2000 will not be his last season at Miami(FL)... even funnier is that Butch makes a comment stating he took the job with the Hurricanes intending to retire there and that fans of the U should expect to see him there in the year 2010... well its currently the end of 2008 and Butch has since taken 2 other coaching positions, too funny.

Citrus Parade 2011 (05/10)
The Fresh From Florida Parade is an annual parade in Orlando, Florida which celebrates the holidays and two annual college football bowl games, the Champs Sports Bowl and the Capital One Bowl.
Started in 1980, the parade was previously known as the Florida Power (Progress Energy) Super Holiday Parade and most recently the Orlando Citrus Parade. In 2005, Delta Air Lines sponsored the parade, being called The Orlando Citrus Parade, presented by Delta Air Lines. Since 2007, Spherion has become a major sponsor of the parade along with Delta Air Lines as co-sponsor, being called The Spherion Orlando Citrus Parade, presented by Delta Air Lines. In 2011, the parade will be sponsored by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, renaming the parade as the Fresh From Florida Parade. This event is planned and produced by Florida Citrus Sports.
The parade is videotaped and syndicated to over 100 television stations for broadcast during the New Year's Day Holiday; TVS Television Network handles distribution. The parade has been seen in the USA and internationally broadcast to other countries like The UK, Bahamas and Canada. The City of Orlando can receive over 80,000 visitors for the parade.
The parade consists of high school and college marching bands, along with theme park characters from Walt Disney World, Universal Orlando and Sea World Adventure Parks. The main feature is the citrus-themed floats. These floats are similar to the Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena, California, but instead of the Rose Parade's petals, the Citrus Parade's floats are decorated with oranges, grapefruits and tangerines.
The citrus floats are prepared and filled by over 600 volunteers who give their time during the 4 days period between December 26 and 29 of the year.
Then, generally on December 30 of every year (In rare occasions, the parade is done on the 29th, because December 30 is a Sunday, or 31 December, if the Capital One Bowl game comes on January 2), the streets of Downtown Orlando are packed with visitors from other places who come to see their high school marching band and the marching bands for the two universities which will have the match up at the Capital One Bowl that year.

Driving Downtown - New Orleans 4K - USA
Driving Downtown - New Orleans Louisiana USA - Episode 37.
Starting Point: .
New Orleans is a major United States port and the largest city and metropolitan area in the state of Louisiana. The city is named after the Duke of Orleans, who reigned as Regent for Louis XV from 1715 to 1723, as it was established by French colonists and strongly influenced by their European culture. It is well known for its distinct French and Spanish Creole architecture, as well as its cross-cultural and multilingual heritage.[8] New Orleans is also famous for its cuisine, music (particularly as the birthplace of jazz),[9][10] and its annual celebrations and festivals, most notably Mardi Gras, dating to French colonial times. The city is often referred to as the most unique[11] in the United States.
Economy
New Orleans has one of the largest and busiest ports in the world, and metropolitan New Orleans is a center of maritime industry. The New Orleans region also accounts for a significant portion of the nation's oil refining and petrochemical production, and serves as a white-collar corporate base for onshore and offshore petroleum and natural gas production.
Tourism
New Orleans has many visitor attractions, from the world-renowned French Quarter; to St. Charles Avenue, (home of Tulane and Loyola Universities, the historic Pontchartrain Hotel, and many 19th-century mansions); to Magazine Street, with its boutique stores and antique shops. According to current travel guides, New Orleans is one of the top ten most-visited cities in the United States; 10.1 million visitors came to New Orleans in 2004.
A 2009 Travel + Leisure poll of America's Favorite Cities ranked New Orleans first in ten categories, the most first-place rankings of the 30 cities included. According to the poll, New Orleans is the best U.S. city as a spring break destination and for wild weekends, stylish boutique hotels, cocktail hours, singles/bar scenes, live music/concerts and bands, antique and vintage shops, cafés/coffee bars, neighborhood restaurants, and people watching.
The French Quarter (known locally as the Quarter or Vieux Carré), which was the colonial-era city and is bounded by the Mississippi River, Rampart Street, Canal Street, and Esplanade Avenue, contains many popular hotels, bars, and nightclubs. Notable tourist attractions in the Quarter include Bourbon Street, Jackson Square, St. Louis Cathedral, the French Market (including Café du Monde, famous for café au lait and beignets), and Preservation Hall.
Entertainment and Performing Arts
The New Orleans area is home to numerous celebrations, the most popular of which is Carnival, often referred to as Mardi Gras. Carnival officially begins on the Feast of the Epiphany, also known as the Twelfth Night. Mardi Gras (French for Fat Tuesday), the final and grandest day of festivities, is the last Tuesday before the Catholic liturgical season of Lent, which commences on Ash Wednesday.
Food
New Orleans is world-famous for its food. The indigenous cuisine is distinctive and influential. From centuries of amalgamation of the local Creole, haute Creole, and New Orleans French cuisines, New Orleans food has developed. Local ingredients, French, Spanish, Italian, African, Native American, Cajun, Chinese, and a hint of Cuban traditions combine to produce a truly unique and easily recognizable Louisiana flavor.
Sports
New Orleans' professional sports teams include the 2009 Super Bowl XLIV champion New Orleans Saints (NFL), the New Orleans Pelicans (NBA), and the New Orleans Zephyrs (PCL). The Mercedes-Benz Superdome is the home of the Saints, the Sugar Bowl, and other prominent events. Each year New Orleans plays host to the Sugar Bowl, the New Orleans Bowl and the Zurich Classic, a golf tournament on the PGA Tour. In addition, it has often hosted major sporting events that have no permanent home, such as the Super Bowl, ArenaBowl, NBA All-Star Game, BCS National Championship Game, and the NCAA Final Four. The Rock ‘n’ Roll Mardi Gras Marathon and the Crescent City Classic are two road running events held annually in the city.
Streetcars
New Orleans has four active streetcar lines:
St. Charles Streetcar Line
Riverfront Streetcar Line
Canal Streetcar Line
Loyola-UPT Streetcar Line

How No Swimmers Noticed Toddler Drowning At Crowded Water Park Wave Pool
A heroic, eagle-eyed lifeguard came to the rescue of a 3-year-old swimmer that was drowning - and no one around the child even noticed what was happening. At Whirlin' Waters Adventure Park, a wave pool in North Charleston, South Carolina, a little girl was struggling and a lifeguard sprung to action. In a video of the rescue, people were swimming next to the girl, but don't appear to notice what's happening to her.
The hidden oil patterns on bowling lanes
Every bowling lane has a hidden oil pattern. In this episode of Vox Almanac, Phil Edwards finds out what that means.

Every lane has a pattern. In this episode of Vox Almanac, Phil Edwards explores how they change the game.
Bowling isn’t just about a great ball and good form — if you want to understand the sport, you have to understand the lane.
Every bowling lane, including the one in your neighborhood alley, is coated with an oil pattern to protect the wood. But these patterns aren’t just for protection — the way in which oil is applied to the lane can affect the speed and direction of your ball.
These patterns are so important that recreational bowlers and professional bowlers bowl on vastly different patterns — the Professional Bowlers Association (PBA) even classifies the patterns it uses in tournaments.
Phil Edwards met with professional bowler Parker Bohn III at his childhood bowling alley, Howell Lanes in Howell, New Jersey. He guided Phli through the complex strategy a pro bowler uses when encountering different oil patterns. Not only do they have to assess which pattern is in use, but they also have to judge how that pattern changes as the oil shifts and slides over the day. Knowing how to play a specific lane can be the difference between a title and second place.
But these patterns aren’t just for the pros — they’re relevant to recreational bowlers as well. Watch the video to see how you can use these patterns to step up your game.
