Unlucky Fried Kitten @ Brenchley Gardens
On Wednesday the 30th September 2009 Unlucky Fried Kitten played their small part in helping to raise the awareness of mental health issues. The Time To Change roadshow descended upon Brenchley Gardens around 10am and there were various attractions throughout...including some nifty dancing from Camilla Dallerup of Strictly Come Dancing fame, some art and photographic displays, a touch of African Music and Dance, the Blue Bus Exhibition, the Time To Change tent, various stalls and acts and, last and almost least...ha ha...Unlucky Fried Kitten.
Here's a montage of some of the photographs taken by the lovely Graham Williamson. Not all are from his lens...but most are...certainly the good ones. Many thanks to Derrick Rodgers who booked UFK for this event. UFK were so happy to help. The accompanying song is Strange Summer from the Unlucky Fried Kitten present Loserville.com album of 2004. We thought it an apt song to accompany the clips...because...surprise surprise...the song questions the often over-looked mental health challenges in this country. (quite probably in all countries...I'm not singling this country out)
Thanks to Rio fraser who films some of the event...which will, no doubt, surface soon.
Thanks to everyone who helped make the day.
Thanks to Alex Turner who also came along and took some photos which can be seen on Flickr...look for Monaxle's page.
