Bunche Beach Ft Myers
Bunche Beach in Ft Myers, Florida shot using a DJI Phantom 4 at 4K. Please read the history below of this historic beach.
This was the first designated beach area for our local community of black people to go to without being harassed, said County Land Steward Coordinator Terry Cain, a Beach resident.
The preserve park, located at 18201 John Morris Rd., received its name from Dr. Ralph Bunche, the first African American to receive a Nobel Peace Prize in 1950, the same year of the dedication ceremony.

Fort Myers Beach
It's hard to imagine Fort Myers Beach as a remote stretch of green edged with white, soft sand and accessible only by boat. However, that's just what it was until the first Little Bridge was constructed to bring tourists and locals alike to the seven-mile Estero Island through Bunche Beach on the mainland. By the late 1920s, a new bridge (actually a second-hand one from the East coast of Florida) was installed near the current San Carlos Bridge.
Little by little, Estero Island's attractive features, including miles and miles of white, sandy beaches, have captured the imaginations of visitors from near and far. This beach community draws thousands of visitors from Germany, France and the United Kingdom each year.
Boating, sailing, fishing and spectacular Lovers Key State Park make this island a real recreational playground. Add to that a great number of family-friendly resorts, quaint cottages, Old Florida charm, restaurants serving fresh seafood from the Gulf of Mexico and an annual Shrimp Festival, and it's a beach vacation paradise.

A Gloomy Day at Bunche Beach
Southwest Floridas Bunche Beach ( Fort Myers ). On an overcast dreary afternoon during low tide a friend and I decided to do a short flight with a drone. From the sky we captured panoramic views of the Gulf of Mexico, Fort Myers, Fort Myers Beach, San Carlos Bay, the Sanibel Causeway, Sanibel & Captiva Islands forming the barrier islands at the mouth of the Caloosahatchee River.
Shot with DJI Mavic Pro in 4k and compressed to 1080p for YouTube. For some reason it's still dropping frames. If you know about rendering and exporting 4K video for YouTube and Vimeo please message me!!

Fort Myers, Sanibel & Captiva Beaches | REALTY-V #3
Welcome to Realty-V
I’m Stacey Glenn – your host and Top Producing Real Estate Agent at Royal Shell Real Estate.
So let’s talk beaches. There are so many beaches in Southwest Florida this is going to be a 2-part topic. In this video, I'll cover the beaches of Lee County: Fort Myers Sanibel and Captiva Islands.
The beaches are why I moved here, just like so many other people. Now that I’ve been here for so long I want to share some insider info on this beautiful buying factor.
Let’s start with Sanibel and Captiva Islands. Simply stunning. Fantastic for shelling, some of the best in the world. There’s an iconic lighthouse on the tip of Sanibel and lucky for you there’s the Lighthouse Beach Park where you can enjoy it.
The Causeway Beaches offer great fishing and family picnic locations with clean restrooms and shallow water.
There’s also Bowman’s Beach and Gulfside City Park Beach - both are great for picnics and some quiet relaxation.
Fort Myers has Lovers Key State Park – this picturesque place is host to many family photos and weddings.
There’s Fort Myers Beach - a popular spring break destination. It’s a great mini staycation place for reggae music, beach volleyball and fun people.
Bunche Beach is a hidden beach mostly known to locals and it’s a great place to rent a kayak and explore the mangroves.
That’s it for the first half of my best beaches list. Tune in next week to learn more.
