The Princes’ Islands are a cluster of 9 islands southeast of Istanbul in the Sea of Marmara. Mainly car-free, the islands are known for their horse-drawn carriages (phaetons). At the highest point of Büyükada, the largest island, the 6th-century Hagia Yorgi Church has panoramic views.
1 - Burgazada
This island off the coast of Istanbul is part of the Princes Islands group and was the home of famed Turkish writer Sait Faik who died in 1954.
2 - Halki Theological School
The seminary is located on the site of the Monastery of the Holy Trinity, founded by Patriarch Photius I almost a thousand years before the foundation of the theological school. In 1844, Patriarch Germanos IV converted the monastery into a school of theology, which was inaugurated on 1 October 1844. The facilities include the Chapel of the Holy Trinity, dormitories and the school's library.
3- Heybeliada Island
It’s great experience very nice view, it takes 45 minute to travel from kadikoy to heybeliada even that journey is so fun. Heybeliada is very relaxing island you get to do horse riding which takes 1 hour to show around the island, there is nice beaches nice restaurants and cafe ideal for family’s with kids. It’s not as big as buyukada but it’s more relaxing.
4- Aya Yorgi Church
Aya Yorgi (St. George) Church is located on the island of Büyükada, one of the group of five islands off the Asian side of Istanbul. The monastery was founded in the name of St. George, referred to as Aya Yorgi by the Turks and as Aya Yorgo by the Greeks, a venerated Christian martyr also admired as a military saint.
5- Kinaliada
Kınalıada is an island in the Sea of Marmara; it is the closest of the Prince Islands to Istanbul, Turkey, lying about 12 kilometres to the south. Administratively, it is a neighbourhood in the Adalar district of Istanbul.
One of the inhabited Princes' Islands where cars are not allowed and Istanbul residents maintain their summer homes.
6- Buyukada Hesed Leavraam
literally: Big Island) is the biggest of the Princes' Islands, a group of nine islands in the Sea of Marmara, in Adalar district southeast of Istanbul Province. An area east of the island was declared a nature park by the Ministry of Environment and Forest in 2011.
7- Inonu Evi Muesi
It's one of the must in this beautiful island. Just 15 minuets walking distance from the port. It's the house of Inonu family, the second president of Republic of Turkey. There is a lovely guide which took us around the whole house.
8- Degirmenburnu Tabiat
Maybe park is OK - it's clean and nice, but beach that placed in the park was not so good as expected. there was a lot of algues and sharp rocks on the seabed, depth was not enough and you can hurt yourself if jump in water. Overall, the beach looks dirty and scruffy.
9- Adalar Museum
Museum of the Princes' Islands (Turkish: Adalar Müzesi) is a museum on Büyükada of Princes' Islands (Turkish: Adalar) in İstanbul Province, Turkey dedicated to the past of the Princes' Islands.
10- Buyukada Hesed Leavraam
Located on the biggest of the Princes' Islands, called Buyukada (Prenkipo), the synagogue is open only during the summer when the majority of the Jewish population, of Istanbul comes to spend their summer months.
