Ainu Totem Poles, Kushiro Park, Burnaby Mountain, Burnaby B.C., Canada by RSamson. Dji Phantom drone
These Totem Poles may look like First Nations Canadian totems but are in fact from the other side of the Pacific Ocean. The Ainu of Japan carved totems on the other side of the planet and the similarity in the artwork is remarkable.
Artist Nuburi Toko and his son, Shusei Toko, came to Canada to share their artwork with us as a part of international togetherness.
The Ainu Totem Poles are located on top of Burnaby Mountain in the Kushiro Park; named after Burnaby's sister city; Kushiro, Japan.

Byrne Creek Trail MTB - Burnaby
Sunday morning scoot down Byrne Creek Trail in Burnaby, B.C., Canada. A fun little trail right in the heart of Burnaby for both mild downhill and a challenging uphill on the way back. Best of both worlds I guess!
