You glide just metres above the rainforest canopy in some places and cross the Barron River. The view back over the coastal plain and ocean from Red Peak is stunning. The Skyrail goes to Kuranda, the village in the rainforest.
You can do a return trip by Skyrail or take the historic Kuranda train back. The Kuranda village is also home to the Butterfly and Bird santuary. You can cuddle a Koala or have a large Mackay sit on your shoulder!

Bundaberg - Burnett River in flood 30-12-2010
Widespread flooding across the state of Queensland has caused much water to travel downstream through the Burnett River heading out to sea.
At this point the water was at approximately 7.75 metres and slowly falling. This bridge and the Tallon at this stage were both cut off keeping North Bundaberg residents isolated from the main city centre.
These are the worse floods Bundaberg has seen in over 50 years. Many homes are inundated and people have had to evacuate their homes. It's a very sad time for many Bundaberg residents.
