The California Delta - BASSMASTER, Best Bass Lakes! You have to average more than 20 pounds per day in a three-day event to be in the Top 5. How many lakes across the country can say that? asks Skeet Reese, when talking about the bass-fertile California Delta. And when he talks about catching bass in the teens, he has proof, as the biggest bass ever weighed in at a B.A.S.S. event came from this body of water (14-9, caught by Mark Tyler). Plus, the fishery is immense. If you simply want to get away from it all, the Delta's 1,000 miles of shoreline certainly allow for that. ~ Bassmaster.com

California drought the real story, America the Stupid
The news media are trying to tell a lie about the drought in the Central Valley / San Joaquin valley in California. They are leading people to believe the drought is a result of climate change better known as global warming. It is a hoax a pure lie.
California has always had issues when it came to rain and water. That is why many rivers were dammed in the West to supply water to California cities and agriculture.
Around 1850 in California work started in the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta to transport water to the San Joaquin Valley. Currently this was accomplished via water pumps from the Delta to irrigation canals in the Valley.
The agriculture output of the San Joaquin Valley was two-thirds of California agriculture output. California was near 13% of the total U.S. agriculture output. In 2009 leftist environmentalist went to a Federal Court to stop the pumping of this water from the Delta to the Valley, and a Federal judge ordered the pumps to be turned off.
This was done to protect a two inch minnow named the delta smelt, which the communist, Marxist environmentalist claims is in danger because of the pumps. For over 150 years this fish had no problem, so just now the problem arises?
Basically animal rights and environmentalist are pure anti-capitalist.
This order resulted in the loss of over 40,000 jobs in the San Joaquin Valley. The United States (USA) once the bread basked of the world now has to import food to feed itself to make up for the lost agriculture output from the San Joaquin Valley. The USA will be importing tainted food from Communist China, and other third world nations.
The Congressman from the Valley in the U.S. House of Representatives tried to insert a provision which would have overturned the judge's order; however Democrat Nancy Pelosi and the other Democrats in the House blocked it.
Their goal is to totally depress the USA in manufacturing, finance, and agriculture. Because with a depressed nation it will be easier for the communist in the Obama administration and the Democratic Party to complete their take over. Historically no wealthy nation has gone over to the red side; it has always been depressed nations. Can you say comrade?
San Joaquin Valley a dust bowl, while the USA has to import food, thanks to the liberals.
America the Stupid because can you name another nation that has allowed animal rights and environmentalist to reduce the nation's manufacturing and agriculture output? See, America the Stupid. Get used to it because these liberals are not going anywhere until they succeed to reducing the United States to a third-world mess.

11th U.S. case of coronavirus confirmed as airports crack down on travel to China
y 2, 2020 - 4:36 PM
ATLANTA — Officials said Sunday that three more people in California have tested positive for the coronavirus, bringing the total U.S. cases up to 11.
A woman in Santa Clara County, California was been diagnosed with the deadly illness as well as a husband and wife in San Benito County.
Over the weekend, airports put firmer restrictions in place to control travel between the United States and China.
Starting Sunday at 5 p.m., U.S. citizens who have recently traveled to China were only allowed to fly into seven airports Those seven airports are all conducting screenings for the deadly virus.
The U.S. has also temporarily closed its doors to foreign nationals who recently traveled to China.
In Atlanta, Delta suspended all flights between Atlanta and Shanghai. The last return Delta flight from China to the Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport left Sunday. Flights to China were suspended Saturday.
American Airlines has also suspended all flights between the U.S. and China.
Channel 2′s Michael Seiden was at Hartsfield, where he is learning how airport officials are trying to keep people safe, for the Channel 2 Action News Nightbeat at 11 p.m.
The carrier expects its flights to China will be suspended through April 30, but said it will continue to monitor the situation and may make adjustments “as the situation continues to evolve.”
Hartsfield-Jackson issued a statement Saturday saying some passengers who may have connected through the affected region could be diverted to Atlanta, but the new regulations affect passengers only and the airport does not expect planes to be funneled to Atlanta.
The airport also said some employees throughout Hartsfield-Jackson may choose to wear protective masks but it is not mandatory.
Seiden talked to Lori Lee Adams, a concerned traveler who just flew in from South Carolina. She said she had second thoughts boarding her flight.
“I’ve never seen this many masks on the plane,” Adams said. Everybody’s concerned about the coronavirus.
More than 14,000 people have contracted the coronavirus worldwide.
The latest case was diagnosed in a woman who is visiting the U.S. from Wuhan, China where the virus originated, officials said.
Officials said the woman has stayed home since she arrived, except for two times to seek outpatient medical care. She has been regularly monitored and was never sick enough to be hospitalized.

CALIFORNIA CENTRAL VALLEY PROJECT SAN JOAQUIN RIVER CANAL & IRRIGATION SYSTEM FILM 63384
Presented by the U.S. Department of the Interior Bureau of Reclamation and produced by Raphael Wolff Studios, California Central Valley Basin is an educational film on the Central Valley Project (CVP), highlighting the project’s dams, reservoirs, canals, and water distribution throughout California’s Central Valley Basin. The film opens with shots of the San Joaquin River and the canals of the valley. The CVP allows for better flood control and more consistent irrigation of the basin, enabling higher yields in the produce grown there. Orchards are irrigated by the project (00:45); a tractor plows soil on a farm in the valley (01:04). The film shows various shots of the valley, including farms, fields, towns, and grocery stores. A topographical map shows Central Valley with the Sacramento and San Joaquin Rivers running through it. A couple fishes at one of the valley’s canals (04:17). Graphics are used to show how the damming of the San Joaquin River diverts water to more arid areas of Central Valley. The film then takes viewers to Shasta Dam, with Shasta Lake and Mt. Shasta in the background (05:56). A boat motors out on Shasta Lake (06:30). A hydroelectric dam on the Sacramento River generates power for the region (07:11). A man goes waterskiing on Shasta Lake (07:55). An elderly couple picnic at a spot overlooking Shasta Lake. The film then shows the American River (08:44) with its levies and Folsom Dam (09:18). People swim in Folsom Reservoir and sailboats sail on the lake (09:30). A salmon ladder assists the migration of salmon at Folsom Dam (09:54). Aerial footage shows the delta area of Central Valley (10:52). The film then takes viewers to the Delta Cross Chanel, where water from the Sacramento River is diverted at Walnut Grove and moved to the Tracy Pumping Plant (11:29). A man observes small fish in a holding tank at the Tracy Pumping Plant (12:38). Another beneficiary of the CVP is the Mendota Wildlife Area, which features wild ducks and geese (14:53). People enjoy water recreation at Millerton Lake (15:30). Madera Canal transports water flowing from Friant Dam (17:46). The film then features footage of Contra Costa Canal (18:19), Sly Park Dam and Jenkinson Lake (18:50), the city of Sacramento (20:10), then it ends with shots from around the basin, including farms and orchards, dams, and canals.
The Central Valley Project (CVP) is a federal water management project in the U.S. state of California under the supervision of the United States Bureau of Reclamation (USBR). It was devised in 1933 in order to provide irrigation and municipal water to much of California's Central Valley—by regulating and storing water in reservoirs in the northern half of the state (once considered water-rich but suffering water-scarce conditions more than half the year in most years), and transporting it to the water-poor San Joaquin Valley and its surroundings by means of a series of canals, aqueducts and pump plants, some shared with the California State Water Project (SWP). Many CVP water users are represented by the Central Valley Project Water Association.

Beavers of the California Delta
Shooting Beaver in the California Delta
There is nothing like walking out your back door, Wandering down to the dock, getting in the boat and within a minutes finding yourself lost in the natural beauty of the Northern California Delta. While the Delta is often best known for boating, fishing and various water sports, our watery highways lined with blackberry brambles and tule grasses are home to many resident and migrant species of mammals, birds and fish. If you are observant and move slowly and quietly you might come across a Delta Beaver swimming along or just munching on some tule roots. Unlike their woodland cousins the Delta Beavers aren’t big into dam building preferring to dig burrows into the muddy banks of the endless stretches of the Delta’s earthen levees. If you startle one you may be warned with a big tail slap.
