What was once a landfill and run-down retail center is getting an innovative makeover—and creating 900 jobs in the process. The 300,000 square-foot Anaheim Westgate Center will be anchored by a WinCo Foods and a home improvement store, and is scheduled to debut in early 2012 on the 27-acre vacant lot at Beach Boulevard and Lincoln Avenue, bringing with it a significant positive effect on the surrounding community.
The Redevelopment Agency has been working for 10 years to improve the site, ready it for construction, and ensure that it is environmentally safe according to strict state and federal regulations.
When construction begins, the project will create approximately 300 new jobs that will last through the 14-month construction schedule, says Elisa Stipkovich, Executive Director of the Anaheim Redevelopment Agency, then, when the center opens, the retail, food court and public plaza will create some 600 permanent positions, boosting the local economy and creating jobs.

We are playing the mini golf course at Alico Family Golf in Fort Myers, Florida. We never have high expectations when playing a mini golf course at a driving range, but this one was really fun. Lots of hills and terrain usage, as well as pipes which are always fun. Someone even gets a lucky mini golf hole in one bounce at this one!
