So, took my Mavic Pro out and shot some awesome aerial shots of the beautiful Camps Bay in South Africa.
Gives you such a different perspective on where we live.
Upmarket Camps Bay draws crowds to its namesake beach, known for its fine white sand, natural rock swimming pool and views of the Twelve Apostles mountains.
Behind the beach, posh seafood restaurants, mellow cafes and cocktail bars with patios overlook the promenade. Nearby, Promenade Mall has boutiques selling fashion and beachwear, while the intimate Theatre on the Bay stages drama, musicals and comedy.

Camps Bay is a suburban beach town of Cape Town with the Table Mountain hovering in the background. The promenade is a long walkway with the long sandy Camps Bay beach to the west. Victoria Road runs on the other side of the promenade and features lots of restaurants and clubs. Grand Café & Society is a perfect place to have a glass as the sun sets in the Atlantic Ocean. The clubs along Victoria Road offers nightlife that attracts people from all around Cape Town.

We started our adventure off in Stellenbosch, checking out some incredible wineries, celebrating a close friend’s wedding at the Spier, then zipped off to Cape Town!

We managed to hit the famous city at the busiest time of the year — packing it all in and ringing in the New Year with Johnny Clegg, a sunrise climb up Lions Head, and a beach day at Camp’s Bay. If you’ve ever been to this beach in the past, there’s a big chance you didn’t have the same experience we did. It was a real treat (and also slightly overwhelming) to be a part of local celebrations, maybe you’ll get the idea through some of these clips. Next time you do make it, get your cameras ready.
We hadn’t sweat enough after New Years so we searched for the tougher route up Table Mountain — it starts off to the right of the main trail entrance, and is totally worth it. Once you make it to the top you can take a well deserved break and be in awe of yet another breathtaking view. If you’re still in search of views, Cape Point is where the tourists flock to. Fun Fact: Cape Point is known as the most geographic southern point of Africa, but actually it’s not! Cape Agulhas takes the win, but it’s not as scenic.
Wherever you chose to go in this stunning region… wear your sunscreen.
