Helton Creek Falls | Dahlonega, Ga
Helton Creek Falls located near Blairsville and Dahlonega, GA. It's a great morning hike if you are nearby. The gravel road was in good-great condition and we were able to make it in the Nissan Altima. Take your time and go slowly over the road ripples.
This place would be great during the summer.

A short but steep hike down the Cable Trail leads to these two side-by-side waterfalls in Fall Creek Falls State Park. Cane Creek Falls is a relatively short waterfall, but wide and very powerful, while Rockhouse Falls is a long silver strand emptying into Cane Creek.

This was a very nice spot. Lot of people stops here in warm weather to have some fun and splash.
The water is crystal clear (Not at the time when this pictures were taken. Several storm systems were affecting some areas in the mountains).
To reach the falls go north from Dahlonega 13.7 miles on US19 to Mt. Pisgah Church Road (one half mile before reaching the junction of US19 and US129 at Turner's Corner) marked by a US Forest Service sign indicating Waters Creek Campground. Turn left on this road and go 2.6 miles to the falls which will be on the left. This falls and the shoals above it are popular for wading and sunning in the summer, however care should be exercised when walking on the slippery rocks and under no circumstances should one dive into the pools.
If you are truly adventurous and want to scramble straight up a mountain to see Blood Creek Falls.

Is located directly below Lake Trahlyta in Vogel State Park is a stepping stone waterfall. Trahlyta Trail is a 1.2 mile easy gravel trail. Heavily trafficked loop trail located near Blairsville, GA. You hike along the lake then there is a little walk to an amazing waterfall. You can't even tell its there until you get there. It's great. There is a little beach at the lake and a tone of places to stop and sit.
The trail is primarily used for hiking, walking, nature trips, and fishing and is accessible year-round.
