Cannery Beach - Cabo San Lucas, Mexico - (December 2018)
This adventure includes stops at Cannery Beach (Playa Empacadora) and the Beach at Grand Solmar Land’s End. It concludes with a walk down towards the Mariana.
There were two cruise ships in Port on this day so there was plenty of people out and about exploring on this day as well.
Cabo San Lucas is a fairly walkable area with most tourist areas having larger, dedicated sidewalks. Nothing is very far once you in the Mariana area but bicycle rickshaws and taxis are readily available.

Cannery Beach Cabo San Lucas
A couple of 360 degrees views of Cannery Beach at Cabo San Lucas Mexico taken on different days. Sunday is the most crowded day as this is the beach a lot of the locals go to on their day off.
There is no services at this beach though a few food vendors do show up.
Cannery Beach is an excellent beach for those tourists that have younger children to enjoy a safe ocean swimming play area and was the focus point of this video. As well some focus was also on the visiting tourists to Cabo San Lucas that do go to Cannery Beach.
Walking to the Beaches in Cabo San Lucas - What To Do on Your Day in Port
This is a quick video on how to walk to two of Cabo San Lucas's favorite beaches. Playa Publica (Public Beach) is within a half a mile of the tender dock. The directions are at the end of the video. Playa Medano is about a 1 1/2 mile walk around the harbor. Both beaches are nice. Playa Medano is a 2 mile long stretch of beach lined by hotels and bars. Playa Publica is about 600 feet long (at high tide). There are no hotels or bars there, but does have outhouses.
Both beaches are very clean and not very crowded. The water at Playa Public seems clearer, but I think that is because Playa Medrano has bigger waves stirring up the sand.
There are water taxis to Playa Medano if you don't want to walk but, you need to be able to get in and out of a small boat. I think they cost about $5 - $10 p/p. They will try to fairly hard to sell you a tour to El Arco and Lover's Beach for an additional cost.
We hope you enjoy the videos and your next cruise.

Cabo San Lucas Mexico Playa De La Empacadora Cannery Beach
This Public Beach is just a Short walk from Cabo San Lucas Port. Soft Sands and Crystal Clear Water makes this a popular spot for Locals and Tourists. My husband and I have visited this spot last year as well. It's more of a local beach that the peoole in town frequent, so you won't see many tourists or vendors.
The water was also very warm. Another hot spot not too far away is Lovers Beach. Be careful of Divorce Beach.
We had a great time, but all good things come to an end, and back to the ship we went.

Cabo San Lucas Beach Near Cruise Pier (Playa el Corsario/Empacadora)
Also known as Cannery Beach, Playa Empacadora (aka Playa el Corsario) is only about 10 minutes walk from the Cabo San Lucas cruise ship port tender pier area. Take a look and see how we walked there and what the beach was like! The beach was pretty nice, with beautiful views of the bay and our cruise ship, the Norwegian Joy. Countless water taxi boats, yachts, catamarans and even kayaks moved along the waters. You can also climb up the rocks for some good photo ops- just be very careful and watch your steps!
This was from our December 2019 Mexican Riviera cruise aboard the Norwegian Joy.

Cabo San Lucas Travel Guide - A Mexican Paradise
Cabo San Lucas Travel Guide - A Mexican Paradise
Cabo San Lucas (known as Cabo for short) is a city at the far southern end of Baja California Sur, Mexico. Cabo is a varied destination that captures the essence of Baja Peninsula in its many resorts, championship golf courses, world-class dining and amazing outdoor activities.
The Cabo area is now considered the second fastest growing resort destination in all of Mexico. It is particularly busy with visitors during the winter high season, November to February. With some of the best all-around sport fishing in the world and every water sport imaginable, Cabo is the ultimate destination for travelers looking for outdoor adventure.
There are three major areas in Cabo:
San Jose del Cabo, the Old Town, which is nearest to the airport. San Jose has old Mexico charm and some shining new resorts.
Cabo San Lucas, the Main Town, which is 20-some miles southwest from the airport at the end of Baja, and the entertainment hub of Cabo. The famous arch, El Arco, is in Cabo San Lucas.
The Corridor, the highway which connects San Jose and Cabo San Lucas, which is now lined with golf courses, condos and resorts that hug the stunning coastline.
By night, Cabo San Lucas is one of the hottest party towns in North America with a glittering nightlife and a plethora of dining options that make energetic Cabo San Lucas an all-time favorite. Also called Cabo San “Loco” or just plain “Cabo”, the town’s reputation as the wild party center of the Baja Peninsula has brought fame and infamy to its many bars and nightclubs.
There is lot of public bus to go around. the easiest one is a bus between Cabo San Lucas and the airport in San Jose del Cabo (Ruta del Desierto). running every 20min from 5AM to 11PM the fare is 80 Pesos (as of December 2016). Pickup and drop-off points are Terminal 1, Puerto Paraiso Plaza respectively.
Filled with natural landmarks and a number of prominent monuments, the city of Cabo San Lucas has plenty of character, particularly around its coastline. From January to March, a must see is the whales, they come to Cabo during this period of time and many boats can take you out to sea to watch them. In early March, they are particularly abundant.

The content of this video was taken by me with a compilation of cameras and drone footage during our trip to Cabo San Lucas. This video primarily features the beautiful Land's End Beach area which is also the furthest most terminus of the Pacific Ocean, where it then turns into the Sea Of Cortez. If you have never been there I highly recommend it! What a spectacular place to visit!
If you would like to use any of this footage. Please send me a message! I would be glad to help.
