Day 23 Tamolitch Falls Blue Pools, Waterfalls Columbia River Gorge Washington USA Road trip Part 2
Today we visit Tamolitch Falls Blue Pools and the Fairy falls, Elowah falls and triple falls in the Columbia river gorge. We also stopped by the End of the Oregon Trail and I got lost time on my hikes. The best waterfall on the historic route 30 is however the triple falls and hike to it!
Tamolitch falls is a beautiful waterfall that is only flowing around spring time when snow is melting and it is a tough hike to find. All of the waterfalls on the Columbia river gorge are say to find but the traffic can be bad and some of the hikes are brutal, like the one to triple falls. But I did enjoy it.
Let's start a movement. Traveling before or while in college should be commonplace and expected. The power of travel is life-changing and has the potential to enhance society overall. When you travel you learn AMAZING things about yourself, the people around you, the world around you and the opportunities there are.
Without travel I argue that you will never realize your fullest potential because there is so much that you are missing out. Traveling even the smallest of distances will change the way your mind thinks and lead to what society needs most, people who have found a passion, are pursuig it and discovering breakthrough technologies, theories, lifestyles, careers and more.
In Europe this is already commonplace to take a semester, summer, month or year off to explore the EU before or during college. I want to make it commonplace in the United States of America as well. It is possible to do it on any budget and I help people learn how to make it a reality. Find out more at:

A wildfire in central Washington state has burned more than 10 square miles and forced the residents
FOR CLEAN VERSION SEE STORY NUMBER: apus014007
A wildfire in central Washington state chased people from nearly 900 homes as it burned near the Bavarian-themed village of Leavenworth.
The Chiwaukum Creek Fire sent a light dusting of ash over Leavenworth, where the German-style motif provides a backdrop to Oktoberfest and a Christmas tree lighting festival.
The fire's smoke plume rose 25,000 feet into the air. The blaze closed 35 miles of U.S. Highway 2, stretching from Leavenworth to Stevens Pass in the Cascade Mountains.
Residents of 860 homes have been told they should leave immediately, fire officials said. Another 800 homes were less seriously threatened.
Authorities said Thursday morning that the Chiwaukum Creek Fire has grown to more than 10 square miles. It was first detected Tuesday.
Fire officials say the weather has not helped firefighters. Temperatures were expected to top 100 degrees with winds gusting to 30 mph in the area Thursday.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.

A gunman killed himself after opening fire on a Florida school board meeting. He was confronted by two school officials, one who attacked him with her purse, and another, the security chief, who fired his gun at the shooter.
Police said a 56-year-old man disrupted the the Bay District School Board meeting in Panama City, Fla., walked up to the podium, pulled out a can of red spray paint and painted a large letter V with a circle around it.
The shooter approached the front of the board members, spray painted a symbol on the wall and fired an unknown amount of rounds, said Panama City Police Department spokesman Sgt. Jeff Becker.

The Master of the World by Jules Verne | Audio book with subtitles
Chief Inspector Strock gets the tough cases. When a volcano suddenly appears to threaten mountain towns of North Carolina amid the non-volcanic Blue Ridge Mountains, Strock is posted to determine the danger. When an automobile race in Wisconsin is interrupted by the unexpected appearance of a vehicle traveling at multiples of the top speed of the entrants, Strock is consulted. When an odd-shaped boat is sighted moving at impossible speeds off the New England coast, Stock and his boss begin to wonder if the incidents are related. And when Strock gets a hand-lettered note warning him to abandon his investigation, on pain of death, he is intrigued rather than deterred.
Set in a period when gasoline engines were in their infancy and automobiles were rare, and when even Chief Inspectors had to engage a carriage and horses to move about, the appearance of a vehicle that can move at astounding speeds on land, on water - and as later revealed, underwater and through the air - marks a technological advance far beyond the reach of nations. It is technology invented by and for the sole benefit of a man who styles himself (with some justification) The Master of the World.
This book is a sequel to an earlier Verne novel, Robur the Conqueror, but enough detail is given to fully appreciate this story without having first read the other. (Summary by Mark)

Watch: House Rules Committee debates impeachment vote rules (FULL LIVE STREAM)
The House Rules Committee will meet to set the parameters for Wednesday’s full debate and discuss any changes to the impeachment resolution. House Democrats unveiled two articles of impeachment against President Trump and will hold a final vote on Wednesday, December 18. The Post’s Libby Casey will be joined by reporters Aaron Blake, James Hohmann and Donna Cassata.
Trump is just the fourth president in U.S. history to face impeachment, which could be approved by this week on the House floor. At the center of the Democrats’ case is that Trump sought to withhold military assistance and an Oval Office meeting until Ukraine announced investigations into former vice president Joe Biden and his son. Geronimo’s Story of His Life
GERONIMO
Geronimo’s Story of His Life is the oral life history of a legendary Apache warrior. Composed in 1905, while Geronimo was being held as a U.S. prisoner of war at Fort Sill, Oklahoma, Geronimo’s story found audience and publication through the efforts of S. M. Barrett--Lawton, Oklahoma, Superintendent of Education, who wrote in his preface that “the initial idea of the compilation of this work was . . . to extend to Geronimo as a prisoner of war the courtesy due any captive, i.e. the right to state the causes which impelled him in his opposition to our civilization and laws.” Barrett, with the assistance of Asa Deklugie, son of Nedni chief Whoa as Apache translator, wrote down the story as Geronimo told it --beginning with an Apache creation myth. Geronimo recounted bloody battles with Mexican troopers, against whom he had vowed vengeance in 1858 after they murdered his mother, his wife, and his three small children. He told of treaties made between Apaches and the U.S. Army--and treaties broken. There were periods of confinement on the reservations, and escapes. And there were his final days on the run, when the U.S. Army put 5000 men in the field against his small band of 39 Apache.
Geronimo had been a prisoner of war for 19 years when he told his story. Born in 1829, he was by then an old man, no longer a warrior, and he had come to an accommodation with many things “white,” including an appreciation of money. U.S. Bureau of Indian Affairs personnel took him to the St. Louis World’s Fair in 1904, where he roped cows in the “wild west show” and signed his name for “ten, fifteen, or twenty five cents.” By then he was perhaps the United States’ most “famous” Indian. In 1905 he was even invited to ride horseback in President Theodore Roosevelt’s inaugural parade (though still a prisoner of war!).
Geronimo dedicated his book to Roosevelt with the plea that he and his people be allowed to return to their ancestral land in Arizona. “It is my land, my home, my father’s land, to which I now ask to be allowed to return. I want to spend my last days there, and be buried among those mountains. If this could be I might die in peace.” Geronimo died at Fort Sill, Oklahoma, in 1909, still a prisoner of war. The Border Crisis & the Bible. What is the Real Truth?
To support our efforts for this ministry, you can donate here:
Note – For the Record, I am NOT for open borders so anyone who thinks that I am for open borders is mistaken. My commentary on this issue is about those seeking AMNESTY and about the inhumane detention of BABIES! … bottom line, there is ALWAYS more than one way to skin a cat! And the USA needs to use methods that are not embarrassing or ANGER the God of Heaven.
The program explains the details.
It is a heated issue. Illegal migrants are being apprehended at the US border and some have had their children taken from them.
Many have opinions about it. Unfortunately, the viewpoint of most evangelicals is not aligned with Scripture, nor is it based on truth. Why? Because President Trump has LIED about it and has given FALSE information to support his policy.
Do the Scriptures reveal how Christians should examine this issue? Yes they do, and we need to make sure that our viewpoint on the crisis matches the Bible.
In this program, Nathan and Donna Leal dissect this issue and compare it to the Scriptures. The facts are presented and prove from Trump’s own words that the White House is once again, lying to the American People.
Does it matter? Yes it does, because the cries of the “orphaned,” children will not go unpunished. This program also comes with a strong warning. America has turned the corner into darkness, and has sealed her fate with God’s reckoning.
This program is one of the most important topics that we have ever discussed. Please share it with your friends and family
And please subscribe.

Watchman's Cry
How Does The Civil War Qualify as the First Modern War?
For 5,800 years of recorded history, wars were fought with pre-modern forms of transportation ad communication, where the world was powered by windmills, watermills, literal horse power and human muscle. However, this all changed with the invention of the steam engine and its implementation in the 19th century. In fifty short years, macadamized roads, canals, steam trains, steam boats, steam presses and telegraph communication revolutionized the transfer of energy and power. By the 1850s, every aspect of western civilization looked and functioned differently than it had for thousands of years. It was in this milieu the Civil War was fought. What did the first modern war look like and how did it differ from previous wars? How did wartime observations by foreign emissaries alter the course of future wars?
