Just another video of the wave pool at Caribbean Bay with the lifesaver wave breakers who make sure people don't stand where the waves crash in case collisions occur. I love how everyone screams as the foghorn goes off (mind you it goes off every 3 minutes in segments of 10 minutes). When I was actually in the wave pool near where the waves came out I know what it felt like to be Rose and Jack in Titanic when they're surrounded by everyone in life jackets :P

It's been way too hot & humid here in this summer....

SOUTH KOREA: NEW WATER THEME PARK CARIBBEAN BAY OPENS

One of the world's largest water theme parks has opened its doors to the public.
Caribbean Bay is located in Yong-in, south of the South Korean capital.
Highlights of the opening ceremony was a pirate show, fireworks and the world's highest man-made wave.
South Korea's newest tourist attraction opened with a bang Friday.
The president of Samsung's Joon-ang Development and the Governor of the Kyunggi province were among the VIPs pushing a button that split a pirate ship in two.
Robbed of their ship, the pirates fired back, but only in the air - and the Carribean Bay Waterpark was officially open to the public.
Caribbean Bay is run by Samsung's Joong-ang Development group.
It hopes to attract visitors by bringing the exotic atmosphere of the Carribean of the 17th century to modern South Korea, half a world away.
Pirates, white-washed buildings, palm trees, sunken galleons and real steel drums are expected to tickle the visitor's imagination.
International companies helped to bring the latest theme park technologies to South Korea, ensuring high standards of hygiene and safety.

By a long way it is the most advanced, most sophisticated waterpark in the world. It would be easy to say that the Caribbean Bay continues where Disney left off.

As this is a water theme park, there's one thing aplenty - water.
There are 18 different water slides and a river than can take swimming visitors through the entire park.
The wave-pool boasts the world's highest man-made wave - at almost two and a half metres (about eight metres) high.
Visitors young and old can enjoy the thrill of the water - or lounge by the pool side with a cool drink, Caribbean-style.
The park has both indoor and outdoor attractions and will be open all year around.
It's hoped the park's unique mixture of excitement and relaxation will make it a tourist attraction for Koreans and foreign visitors alike.
