From Grand coulee city to Wenatchee via electric city and back to Seattle via Leavenworth completing the loop.

Let's Hike - Heather Lake, WA USA - 14 February 2015, Overcast w/ Light Rain
On 14 February 2015 my Dad and I once again hiked Heather Lake in Mt. Pilchuck State Park right next to Mountain Loop Highway in the North Cascades. Thanks to the unusually warm weather so far this year, this was our first hike of 2015 and served as a warm up for more difficult hikes to come throughout the year. Relatively easy compared to other hikes in the cascades, Heather Lake is still worth doing thanks to the pleasant trail and the scenic destination. If you want to avoid the crowds that often appear on this well known trail, I recommend you get an early start at 8 AM PST.
