Coxy Explores Castlemaine Part 1 - Setting up Camp
TV presenters of Coxy's Big Break, Rhys Ulich and Coxy are in Castlemaine, a 1 1/2 hour drive north west of Melbourne, in the heart of Victoria's historic gold fields.
Coxy is setting up camp and reliving his childhood memories. Dave Loverage from Anaconda helps Coxy build his home away from home, by pitching the tent. Complete with all the comforts of home, this family tent has 4 rooms, 2 bedrooms lounge and dinning. The site has all the latest mod-cons and only takes 20 minutes to set up.
Castlemaine became a thriving town when Gold was discovered here in the early 1850's and Coxy visits some of the impressive old buildings.
Rhys looks at all the new camping gear used today in the 21st century such as a magnet torch, mini solar panels,120 decibel alarm system and neat cooking facilities.
Coxy also takes a look at hi tech camping gear such as the outdoor shower which only takes 8 seconds to heat up, mini washing machine for socks and jocks and vacuum sealer for food storage which keeps food fresh for years.

Escape to the Castlemaine State Festival with V/Line
V/Line is tipping a surge in patronage to the Goldfields region during the 2013 Castlemaine State Festival from 15 to 24 March.
With just 16 days until the festival begins, there is growing demand for show and V/Line rail tickets.
Minister for Public Transport Terry Mulder said travelling with V/Line to Castlemaine was one of the easiest ways to experience the festival with most major shows and acts within easy walking distance of the station.
When regional towns and cities offer high quality attractions and events, Melburnians love to get there with V/Line.
This was demonstrated last year with Bendigo's Grace Kelly Exhibition. I have no doubt it will be the case with the 2013 Castlemaine State Festival.
The State Government is a major sponsor of the biennial festival through Arts Victoria.
During the 2011 festival more than 3400 people travelled to Castlemaine on the train.
V/Line has continued its partnership with the festival and is the principal sponsor for the 2013 event.
V/Line's Acting CEO Ross Pedley said: V/Line is proud to be part of the event, bringing loyal, new and larger audiences from Melbourne and beyond to experience all that the festival and the region have to offer.
Regular trains allow people to travel to and from Castlemaine on the same day, but many festival goers choose to stay overnight or a few days before returning home.
Castlemaine State Festival Director Martin Paten said the 2013 festival would have something for everyone.
We have more than 800 artists in the Festival from local areas and across the globe. Set against the stunning backdrop of the goldfields region, events, exhibitions and performances utilise historic buildings and the breathtaking bush landscape -- the Festival is a truly unique experience. Mr Paten said.
The Castlemaine State Festival runs from 15 -- 24 March.

The Artificial Kingdom - Carolyn Dew - Bendigo Art Gallery Exhibition
6 December 2014 - 8 February 2015
Through the inaugural Going Solo program, Carolyn Dew has developed a new body of work for an exhibition exclusive to Bendigo Art Gallery. Throughout her practice, Dew has explored ideas surrounding everyday personal and cultural practices expressed through domestic environments. With this latest photographic series Dew has delved into the creation of memorials in cemeteries in regional Victoria and further afield. Joyful, poignant and at times curious, Dew respectfully captures the permanent and transitional arrangements created by anonymous individuals as they construct environments for loved ones past.
Carolyn Dew is a contemporary photographer, who has studied photography at undergraduate and postgraduate levels at the Victorian College for the Arts. Her work has been exhibited in group and solo exhibitions in Melbourne and central Victoria.
Early in her career, Carolyn trained and worked as a preservation photographer within the public collections of the State Library of Victoria and Museum Victoria where photography was contextualised as a collective reflection of social and cultural history. After art school she also joined in the artist run collective movement and began curating small thematically linked exhibitions. These formative experiences continue to influence the work she makes and how it is presented.

Modern Melbourne is a series of interviews that document the extraordinary lives and careers of some our most important architects and designers. In this interview, we speak with Phyllis Murphy.
Phyllis was one of two female graduates of architecture in 1949 at the University of Melbourne. She launched a practice with her husband John Murphy and the firm quickly became known for their interpretation of modernist design. in 1952, the couple joined forces with Kevin Borland, Peter McIntyre and engineer Bill Irwin to design the Melbourne Olympic Swimming Stadium. The Murphy practice was also instrumental in setting up the National Trust in Victoria, and Phyllis is now recognised for her collection of and expertise in Victorian-era wallpaper.

Stock Trading News | Small Cap Opportunity: Novo Resources | Gold Projects in Australia
In this video BTV learns more about Novo Resources who is focused on exploring and developing gold projects in the Pilbara region of Western Australia.
At Beatons Creek, Novo Resources is exploring for gold-bearing conglomerates within the Hardey Sandstone Formation, part of the Fortescue Group, a thick sequence of ancient sedimentary and volcanic rocks. Moreover, historic mines near the town of Nullagine exploited pyritic gold-bearing reefs as early as the late 1800's. Otherwise, the area has seen only very limited modern exploration.
The company has an experienced management team in place as well as extensive expertise in identifying properties that have the best potential to recommence and expand profitable mining from known and newly discovered mineral prospects.
