Ikebukuro (池袋) is a commercial and entertainment district in Toshima, Tokyo, Japan. Toshima ward offices, Ikebukuro station, and several shops, restaurants, and enormous department stores are located within city limits [Taken from Wikipedia].
During 2011/2012, my housemate and I were lucky enough to visit Japan for about 3 weeks. I took a lot of footage while we were there, some of which I uploaded soon after we got home. A lot is still sitting on my hard drive! I have so much random Japan footage, I'm not sure if I should make more vlogs or not? I did however, want to share this one with you!

★ A bit about me! ★
I’m an Australian currently living in Japan, and loving it! My channel has loads of DIY videos relating to acne and acne scarring, because that is something I have suffered with for many years (and continue to suffer with). I decided to turn my negatives into positives, and share what I’d learned about this skin condition with all of you. So if you’re new to my channel and wondering why there’s so many videos about skin care, that’s why!
These days however, my focus has changed. I was accepted to the JET Programme in 2014, and my new life chapter began! I’m currently living in a semi-rural prefecture, as an ALT at 3 senior high schools. I drive a lot, go out a lot, and enjoy living my life in gorgeous Japan. I’m now kind of a J-Vlogger, showing you my everyday life in my weekly vlogs. But I also want to keep the essence of my original channel purpose, too, so that’s why there are additional weekly videos about skin care, beauty and life in Japan. My new series showcasing Japan’s cutest animals!
We found a bunny cafe right in the heart of Ikebukuro, on sunshine street! (Sunshine Street is the best place for fun in Tokyo imho). Friendly staff and friendly bunnies everywhere you look! Almost all of the bunnies are out of their cages and free to run about. This cafe was pure happiness for us! We’ll be going back for sure!
Like all other animal cafes you must clean and sanitize your hands before touching them. This cafe is located on the 8th floor near Denny’s on sunshine-dori, so it’s very quiet and almost easy to miss if you aren’t looking for it. Rates are cheapest during the week (it is also less busy) Monday-Friday : ¥1,200 per hour ( ¥800 for 30mins- but in all honesty 30mins is never enough!) Weekends: ¥1,300 per hour, one free drink included in that price. The staff also offer you free bunny food as service and it excites them all.

A cat café is a theme café whose attraction is cats that can be watched and played with. Patrons pay a cover fee, generally hourly, and thus cat cafés can be seen as a form of supervised indoor pet rental.
Cat cafés are quite popular in Japan, with Tokyo being home to 58 cat cafés as of 2015.The first was Cat's Store (猫の店 Neko no Mise?), by Norimasa Hanada, which opened in 2005. The popularity of cat cafés in Japan is attributed to many apartments forbidding pets, and to cats providing relaxing companionship in what may otherwise be a stressful and lonesome urban life. Other forms of pet rental, such as rabbit cafés, are also common in Japan.

Located outside of the city center, B Ikebukuro Hotel Tokyo is adjacent to the Ikebukuro Station and the Sunshine International Aquarium. Otome Road Ikebukuro 池袋 乙女ロード
Ikebukuro Otome Road. There are many anime shops situated in Ikebukuro. Especially on the Road. Otome means virginor maiden, but I don't care that. lol There are so many fujoshis. They like Anime and doujin-shi especially BL, cosplaying, and so on.
You must distinguish fujoshi and female otaku. The latter hate to be treated as fujoshi. They just love good-looking guys, and no curiosity about BL.
