Places to see in ( Grenoble - France ) Cathedral of Notre Dame
Grenoble Cathedral is a Roman Catholic church located in the town of Grenoble, France. It is a national monument, and is the seat of the Bishop of Grenoble. The first mention of Cathédrale Notre-Dame date from 902, during the episcopate of Isaak, but the Cathedral and the Church of St. Hugh have been rebuilt in the mid-thirteenth century.
Some remarkable examples of Renaissance art can be found in the cathedral, including a 15th Ciborium in the flamboyant Gothic style. Unfortunately the Ciborium was damaged in 1562 by baron des Adrets, during the Wars of Religion. The cathedral was entirely remodelled during the 19th Century by the diocesan architect Alfred Berruyer. The innovative concrete facing added by Berruyer was removed in 1990 to reveal the original Roman facade.
Built in the 13th century, it is part of the bishop's palace - cathedral group along with the Saint-Hugues church and the Baptistery, the remains of which are accessible from the Musée de l'Ancien Evêché.

Notre Dame de la Salette (Isère - France)
Site officiel:
(EN) La Salette is a small mountaintop village near Grenoble, France. It is most noted for an apparition of the Virgin Mary that was reported in 1846 by two shepherd children, Mélanie Calvat and Maximin Giraud, followed by numerous accounts of miraculous healings.
The Catholic Church investigated the claims and found them to be basically credible and was approved under the name of Our Lady of La Salette.
Devotion to Our Lady of La Salette was weakened in the late nineteenth century by the controversy surrounding the claims of one of the seers, Mélanie Calvat and the precarious situation of the Gallican church in a France hostile to religion.
Recent release of the secrets from the Vatican Secret Archives have clarified the situation.
Despite these events, the apparition of La Salette flourished in the twentieth century, and together with Our Lady of Lourdes (1858) and Our Lady of Fátima (1917) La Salette remains one of the most famous Marian apparitions of the modern age. (Wikipedia)

Grenoble, a city in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region of southeastern France, sits at the foot of mountains between the Drac and Isère rivers. It's known as a base for winter sports, and for its museums, universities and research centers. Spherical cable cars called “Les Bulles” (Bubbles) connect the town to the summit of La Bastille hill, named for the 18th-century fortress on its slopes.
Known as the 'Capital of the Alps', Grenoble boasts great museums, excellent dining, effervescent nightlife, outstanding quality of life and a superb public transport system. Home to a slew of high-tech industries, the 1968 Winter Olympic City is the focal point for a wider metropolitan area of more than 650,000 Grenobloises and Grenoblois, nearly 10% of them students. The city is dramatically sited among the looming massifs of the Parc Naturel Régional de Chartreuse and Parc Naturel Régional du Vercors, with clear sight lines to Mont Blanc itself. Cut by the swift-flowing River Isère, Grenoble delivers mostly mild weather thanks to its low elevation.
Grenoble is crossed by two rivers, the Drac and the Isère (the lion and the serpent), and is surrounded by three mountain chains, the Vercors, Chartreuse and Belledonne. Alot to see in Grenoble such as :

Notre-Dame de Paris : à Grenoble son église aussi avait été ravagée par les flammes
Le sinistre de Notre-Dame-de-Paris rappelle de bien tristes souvenirs au père Mariusz Sliwa, prêtre de la paroisse de la Sainte-Famille qui réunit 3 églises Grenobloises dont l'église Saint-Jacques. Seul le clocher avait été épargné dans l'incendie survenu dans la nuit du 16 au 17 janvier 2019.

Cathedrale Notre Dame de Paris
Notre Dame de Paris, Our Lady of Pariis, Notre Dame Cathedral or simply Notre Dame...is a historic Roman Catholic Marian cathedral on the eastern half of the Île de la Cité in the fourth arrondissement of Paris, France. Widely considered one of the finest examples of French Gothic architecture and among the most well-known churches ever built, Notre Dame is the cathedral of the Catholic Archdiocese of Paris; that is, it is the church that contains the cathedra (official chair) of the Archbishop of Paris, currently André Vingt-Trois. The cathedral treasury is notable for its reliquary, which houses the purported crown of thorns, a fragment of the True Cross and one of the Holy Nails -- all instruments of the Passion and a few of the most important first-class relics.
