GRAND CAYMAN (2018) WALKING TOUR - George Town & cruise port in winter (Christmas)
If you're wondering what to do in a day - in this slow tv tour, we arrive at George Town Grand Cayman cruise port by tender boat. In Grand Cayman snorkeling from shore is possible just a few yards from the cruise port. We pass several beach front bars and seaside grills that allow their customers to swim and snorkel.
One of the best free things to do in Grand Cayman cruise port at Christmas, is to just explore the multicolored seafront, with ships of all sizes moored out to sea in the background.
We pass through one of the main George Town shopping malls, (where you'll find coffee shops and free wifi - Grand Cayman cruise port shopping is no different than anywhere else!)
With so many bars and a glistening waterfront, one of the best things to do in Grand Cayman at Christmas is simply soaking up the sun, as the Grand Cayman weather at this time is perfect.
How do we afford to travel so often? We're lucky enough to stay for almost free in every city, using

Cayman Shorts – 5 Family Things To Do in Grand Cayman at Camana Bay
Shop, dine and play on the harbour at Camana Bay! Discover 5 Family Things To Do in Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands.
Host Tammi Sulliman introduces colleague Anna Wootton, who gives five reasons people should visit Camana Bay:
1. Camana Bay has many activities for families including the Island where there are hammocks, sand and a safe area for kids to play overlooking the water.
2. Camana Bay also has the fountains on the Crescent which kids love because they go up to 30 feet high, they’re interactive and they’re full of surprise and delight as you never know what you’re going to get.
3. Just behind the fountains there is Starfish Village: a place for families to play with kids or where they can drop them off and explore Camana Bay on their own while their kids play.
4. On the Paseo you can find the Observation Tower which kids absolutely love. It has a floor-to-ceiling mosaic made of glass tiles that depict underwater life and seam animals.
5. Cayman Ferries is an easy service right from the Harbour in Camana Bay. It takes you over to the other side of the island where you stop at Kaibo and they can either bike or bus you to Rum Point. It’s an easy day trip and all the schedules and times can be found on CamanaBay.com.

Grand Cayman 2018 Day 6
Grand Cayman diving with Don Foster's. An awesome last day of our trip with some deep swim throughs at Sentinel Rock and beautiful coral at Spanish Anchor. We finished off the day with a one-of-a-kind adventure to Sting Ray City. The Sting Rays were amazing and so fun to feed and play with! Highly recommend Don Foster's for all the fun Cayman adventures ... diving, snorkeling, Sting Ray City ... always a great time and amazing staff!
Drone footage captures exotic town in Grand Cayman Island
Kaibo is a gorgeous small town area on the North side of Grand Cayman Island in the Caribbean. Nestled between Rum Point and Starfish point it has much to offer. Restaurants, bars and luxury condos provide everything any tourist could want. If travelling from the West end of Grand Cayman, you can drive or take a small ferry. Driving will take approximately 1.5-2 hours depending on traffic since the roadways are narrow and the island life makes for slower travel. If you either don’t have a vehicle or are short on time, you can hop a ferry that leaves from Camana Bay in the West for a very affordable $25 round trip. It will drop you off at either Kaibo yacht club or Rum Point, both beautiful locations and very close to each other. You could walk from one drop point to the other if feeling ambitious. While enjoying your day in Kaibo or Rum Point, make it the best and enjoy the pristine waters while paddling a kayak. You can bring your own snorkeling gear or rent some as the shallow calm waters of both Kaibo and Rum Point are great for this. Another amazing thing with Rum Point is that Southern Stingray often cruise around the shallows looking for a snack so your chance of seeing these beautiful creatures while snorkeling is very high. Box fish, similar to a Puffer fish are also around, so keep an eye out. Conch shells are plentiful as well, most have been discarded by conch fishermen so you will notice a hole in one end of the shell. Give it a go with your best efforts of blowing the mighty conch! Personal powered watercraft such as Sea doo and Jetski are also rentable from Red Sail sports located right on the beach at Rum Point. Take a tour or play close by with a friend or family member, its a blast. If you love sunsets and bio luminescence, Rum Point is the place to come. Kayak groups head out at sunset to a nearby bay well know for its amazing bio luminescence. Get there early as the beach fill quickly with all the sunset watchers and photographers. It is amazing! Grand Cayman has a lot to offer and is a short plane ride from the East coast of USA.

Grand Cayman Island Beach Near Cruise Port Terminal (4K)
We visited George Town Grand Cayman once again, and this time we felt like staying near the cruise terminal where tender boats dock. Balboa Beach was perfect because it was just a short walking distance from the Royal Watler cruise terminal (used by Royal Caribbean) on Harbour Drive.
Balboa beach was pretty small, next to a busy street (which could make things noisy), and had a lot of rocky surfaces. But overall it was a good-enough beach to enjoy the crystal clear waters of Grand Cayman, as well as beautiful views of cruise ships that dropped anchor nearby. There were plenty of guests snorkeling and swimming, or just laying a towel down to enjoy the sun on the sand.
This was from our February 2018 Western Caribbean cruise on the Royal Caribbean Liberty of the Seas sailing out of Galveston, Texas.
Cruise Ship Tendering - George Town, Grand Cayman
Sometimes cruise ships are just too big and waters too shallow to allow docking. When this occurs, cruise ships must use small boats called tenders to ferry guests back and forth. This video shows the tendering process during a stop in Grand Cayman onboard the MSC Seaside.
