Another one from the Archives
On the Last day of June in 2005, One of our corospondents Colin, went fishing while in the Lake town of Taupo, NZ. Managed to hook a beauty of a fish (trout from what he remembers).
It was a bit to short to keep but great video none the less.
New river mouth at Waitahanui, south of Taupo
This is the result of a big storm very early in 2017. The river used to flow parallel to the Lake in a very deep channel for over Sixty Years, and was world famous for the 'Picket Fence' of Anglers, fly casting for Trout. In the space of a Week, the high Beach of sand and pumice is in it's place. This clip says it all. Some people may remember this place and its History.
