Panama - Gamboa Resort Monkeys Chagres River Boat Tour
During the Chagres River Boat Tour we viewed a couple of the Panamanian Monkeys: Geoffrey's Tamarin and The White-headed capuchin. The footage was taken during the 2016 Memorial Day weekend. The Orange County Hispanic Bar Association annual get away. The camera used was the Canon Vixia HF G30. Some of the footage maybe a bit shaky because of the rocky boat.

Gamboa Rainforest Resort Aerial Tram Tour in Panama
The glide through the jungle on the Aerial Tram allowed us to see the rainforest. Our tour limited our animal watching excursion due to the heavy rain. However, we were lucky to view a toucan.
Viewing the forest from the top of the Swiss-engineered aerial tram system was breathtaking. Gliding smoothly through the treetops, we experienced the wildlife sounds and peace of the tropical rainforest firsthand.
A Gamboa’s tour guide accompanied us throughout the entire tour. The 1.2-kilometer (3/4 mile) ride culminates at a hilltop where we had the opportunity to visit the Observation Tower. After walking up the spiral ramp, we experienced a panoramic view of the:

Panama Canal Railway Company (PCRC) locomotives 1865 (ex Amtrak EMD F40PH), and 1871 (ex KCS EMD SD60) power a southbound Panama Canal Railway intermodal stacktrain through Gamboa, Panama and across the Chagres River heading to Balboa hauling 55 cars of single stack MSC containers.
The Panama Canal Railway is a short haul 76.6km (47.6 mile) railway operating from Colon, Panama on the Atlantic Ocean to Balboa (near Panama City) on the Pacific Ocean.

Spring Time 2010, our travels to the most incredible place. This is off the Chagres River-Lagoon, Panama, Gamboa Rainforest. I could have stayed in there for hours..The other people in the clip are tourists from Canada..They were so funny. Lots of questions..

Wayfinder Voyages -- Chagres River
After a week in Bocas del Toro, we decide to explore the Chagres River. This river used to cross over half the isthmus and provide passage partway across to the Pacific. It was dammed to create Gatun Lake, which vessels now cross as part of the Panama Canal.
It was a magical place to explore. Rainforest on either side, Caribbean blue water throughout the river, and you can sail 6 miles up to the dam!
Highlights included the eerie sounds of howler monkeys, the songs of crickets, the best hammock tree I've ever seen, and a beautiful full moon over the quietest anchorage for miles around.

Tabasara, an ancestral river destined for clean energy
The documentary brings together the experiences of the Ngäbe-Buglé indigenous communties that resist their own disappearance. Recently a clean energy project called the Barro Blanco Project has begun a change that implies a quotidian shift in these communities. From there arises the need to resist and struggle in order to save their land being that without the land the Ngäbe-Buglé are no longer who they are. The Ngäbe-Buglé region is found in the western region of Panama and consists of 6814,2 km2 and a population of 156,747 inhabitants following the 2010 census.
The case of Río Tabasará is repeated in the rest of the central american countries. This material is an informational tool for other communities that struggle and resist megaprojects.
