Changbai Mountain Tianchi is located at the southeast of Jilin,the boundary between China and North Korea.Changbai Mountain Tianchi is the deepest lake in China,which was formed by the water of eruption in 1702,it is on the main peak of Changbai Mountain-the highest mountain in northesat of China.The origin of the name is the 2150 metres of attitude,it means “the lake of the heaven”.Tianchi is surrounded by 16 mountains,which was just like a gorgeous emerald among them.

Changbaishan ranges extend from Northeast Chinese provinces of Heilongjiang, Jilin & Liaoning, to the North Korea provinces of Ryanggang and Chagang. Most peaks exceed 2,000 metres in height with the highest mountain being Baekdu Mountain.
Changbaishan Natural Reserve, established in 1960 was involved in the UNESCO program.
