3 minutes pour découvrir la variété des paysages d'Hyères et ses Iles d'Or. L'Office de Tourisme d'Hyères vous invite avec « entre ciel et mer » à explorer les formidables paysages terrestres, marins et sous-marins de la cité la plus au Sud de la Provence.
Située à l'extrême Sud de la Provence, Hyères s'étend sur un vaste territoire renommé pour la variété de ses paysages terrestres, marins et sous-marins d'exception et la douceur de son climat.
Un archipel d'Iles d'Or (Porquerolles, Port-Cros, Le Levant), un plan d'eau de 27 000 hectares, 7 ports, 100 kilomètres de côtes où alternent plages de sable fin, falaises et criques préservées, quatre « Jardins remarquables », 115 ha d'espaces naturels sauvages et de nombreux monuments historiques offrent aux visiteurs une multitude d'activités sportives, culturelles ou farniente tout au long de l'année.
Hyères invite ses visiteurs à marcher sur les traces de celles et ceux qui ont façonné son histoire et son architecture durant 2400 ans : le site archéologique d'Olbia « l'Heureuse », ancien comptoir grec créé au IVe siècle av. JC ; les ruines des remparts du château des Seigneurs de Fos du XIe dominant la ville médiévale et son lacis de ruelles pavées ; la tour des templiers ; la Collégiale Saint Paul et sa collection de 400 ex-votos ; les riches façades et jardins des palaces et grands hôtels du XIXe ; la Villa Noailles, haut lieu de l'avant-garde artistique au XXe.
La commune s'étire, entre ciel et mer, sur la presqu'île de Giens. Hyères abrite aussi le Parc National de Port-Cros et ses Iles d'Or à la nature préservée, encore plus belles hors-saison. De nombreux chemins au cœur de la nature permettent de découvrir les multiples facettes du territoire hyérois. Ses anciens marais salants, aujourd'hui réserve ornithologique, abritent plus de 250 espèces d'oiseaux migrateurs et sédentaires.
Haut lieu de grands événements internationaux dans les domaines du sport nautique et du vélo, Hyères propose aussi toute l'année un grand nombre d'activités aux spécialistes, amateurs éclairés et néophytes : whale-watching au cœur de sanctuaire Pelagos, baignade, apnée, kitesurf, voile, windsurf, funboard, planche à voile, kayak de mer, stand-up paddle, plongée, randonnées terrestres, équestres et palmées, VTT, cyclotourisme...

Located between Marseille and Nice, Hyères is considered the original French Riviera, with the aristocracy regularly retreating to its winter warmth in the 18th century, followed by the artistic (Leo Tolstoy, Rudyard Kipling, DH Lawrence) not to mention royalty (Queen Victoria). Today the French (comprising 70% of Hyères’ tourism industry) have been largely keeping it to themselves. Not surprising, given the picturesque panoramas, award-winning beaches, exquisite food, gardens and maritime national park. Sorry France, the secret’s out: here’s our guide to the perfect weekend in Hyères.
Hyeres is a commune in the Var department in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region in southeastern France. The old town lies 4 km (2.5 mi) from the sea clustered around the Castle of Saint Bernard, which is set on a hill. Between the old town and the sea lies the pine-covered hill of Costebelle, which overlooks the peninsula of Giens. Hyères is the oldest resort on the French Riviera.
Originally a possession of the Viscount of Marseilles, it was later transferred to Charles of Anjou. Louis IX King of France (often known as St Louis) landed at Hyères in 1254 when returning from the crusades. A commandry of the Knights Templar was based at the town in the 12th century, outside the town walls. The remaining remnant is the tower Saint-Blaise.
Its position facing the Mediterranean to the south makes it popular with tourists in the winter and makes it ideal for the cultivation of palm trees. About 100,000 trees are exported from the area each year. As a result, the town is frequently referred to as Hyères-les-Palmiers (palmiers meaning palm trees). The three islands of the Îles d'Hyères (namely, Porquerolles, Port-Cros, and the Île du Levant) are just offshore. Porquerolles and Port-Cros form the Port-Cros National Park. The commune has a land area of 132.38 square kilometres (51.11 sq mi).
The railway station Gare d'Hyères offers connections with Toulon, Marseille, Paris, and several regional destinations. The airport, which is known officially as the Toulon-Hyères International Airport, is 4 km (2.5 mi) to the southeast of the town centre, on a sandy plain close to the seashore. The area was first used by private aircraft at the beginning of the 20th century.
In 1920, after the marsh had been drained, French naval aircraft used the field, and, in 1925, it became an official base of the French Fleet Air Arm (Aéronavale). It has been a commercial airport since 1966, but the navy maintains a significant facility for helicopters and fixed wing aircraft within the perimeter. There are currently (2009) scheduled flights to and from Stockholm, Bristol, Ajaccio, Paris, London, Brest, Brussels, and Rotterdam.

City walks visits Hyeres, France. On this spring morning we descend from the fortress on the hill above Hyeres that overlooks the Mediterranean sea down through the old heart of the city. It was already a warm day at 9 am but the sunshine was welcome. As always, let me know in the comments if you'd like me to change anything up. I'm still experimenting a bit with gear and style. I used a gimbal and a gopro session on this walk.

Bonjour à tous et à toutes et bienvenue sur m a chaîne Hot Aru,
Aujourd'hui je suis en compagnie de Claire ainsi que de Perrine pour une visite que j 'ai juste adoré exploré en leur compagnie !
C'est une première découverte pour moi donc excusez moi pour le manque de professionnalisme durant la totalité de la vidéo ^^.
INFO IMPORTANTE :
Durant tous le mois d’août je serais absente pour des vacances en camping près de la campagne, donc exceptionnellement il n y aura pas de vidéos ce mois si mais je me rattraperai à mon grand retour, en attendant profitez bien de celle ci ! ☺

The Giens Peninsula (French: Presqu'île de Giens) is a peninsula on the French Mediterranean coast near Hyères in the Var department in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region in southeastern France. It is a prime tourist destination, with campgrounds and water sports.
There are extensive vineyards on the peninsula, producing the AOC Côtes de Provence label. The peninsula of Giens ( Occitan Provencal lenga of Gienh according to the classic norm of Occitan or lengo of Gien according to the Mistralian norm ) is a peninsula connected to the continent by a double tombolo. It corresponds to the boundary between the Gulf of Lion and the Gulf of Genoa . It is located in the town of Hyères.
Located in the town of Hyères ( Var ). It is reached by the road of Giens, or by the salt road, closed during the winter. On its western side is the beach of Almanarre, 4 km long and consisting of sand and small pebbles. To the north-west is the Robinson beach, and to the southwest, La Madrague . To the east are the port of Hyères and the beach of La Capte . This distribution of the beaches in place always one sheltered from the winds and the other face to the wind, that one is in the mode of winds of west or east, which allows the practice of the funboard , the kitesurfing orwindsurfing .
The South-West part is a military zone whose access is reserved. At the south-west end is Knights Point. The entire southern part of the island is composed of cliffs and forests, but houses the small port of Niel to the southwest, and that of the Fondue Tower to the southeast, which allows to reach the island of Porquerolles by ferry
Originally, the island of Giens, attached to the Massif des Maures and belonging to crystalline Provence was similar to its neighbors, the islands of Hyères . For about three thousand years, a natural phenomenon has progressively taken place: two strands of sediment (essentially sandy) connected the island to the mainland, enclosing a lagoon between them (the pond of Pesquiers) and constituting a double- tombolo . In Giens, the proximity of the two mouths of Gapeau and Roubaud and the presence of favorable sea currents allowed the formation of these two cords, a phenomenongeomorphological rather rare.
