Cheetham Wetlands Point Cook
Cheetham Wetlands, consisting of salt marshes and natural and artificial lagoons of Skeleton Creek, are a natural bird haven. These internationally significant wetlands provide important feeding and habitat areas for thousands of migratory birds from Japan, Siberia and New Zealand.
The Tower is a public art commisson which provides a visible symbol and celebration of migration to Australia and, from its platforms, unique vantage points from which to view the Cheetham Wetlands with its sensitive ecology.
The landscape contrasts with the rest of the park with distant views of the city and the You Yangs as a backdrop to the marshes.
The Cheetham Wetlands are 420 hectares of artificial and natural lagoons, created on old salt works land on the western shores of Port Phillip Bay, Australia.

Exploring Pointcook Coastal Park
The Point Cook Coastal Park covers an area of 863 hectares and includes the Cheetham Wetlands.
The park is approximately 20 kilometres (12 mi) from Melbourne in a southwesterly direction along Port Phillip Bay.

Here's one of my favourite birding spots, located in the Melbourne suburb of Altona. I'll talk about what you might expect to see here, and I hope you'll accept my challenge and upload some bird lists! Sorry about the wind noise getting into my phone. This is my list for the day:

Just a short Video of my FPV flight over Altona Meadows wetlands, Skeleton Creek with views of Sanctuary Lakes. (Melbourne's Western Suburbs, Australia).
I'm flying a Hobby King Bixler 2 an easy to fly and stable foam electric powered gilder. I have installed the optional flaps although they do help with take offs they don't seem to make a lot of difference when landing.
The park is over the street from my house.
I Used to fly a Balsa Glider at the Laverton Air Force Base (RAAF Williams) air field about 15 years ago, but now that area has been sub divided and residential.

This was on quite a windy winter morning. The birds here were quite friendly and not scared of humans. There is a playground, a beginner's skate area, a lake, and a walking track.
