Ghost Walk - Chestnut Street Cemetery - Apalachicola
The October 2014 Ghost Walk in Chestnut Street Cemetery in Apalachicola, FL.
Chestnut Street Cemetery, Apalachicola.
Chestnut Street Cemetery, Apalachicola. The earliest European burial ground in the city, this historic ground contains remains in unmarked graves from almost 200 years ago while the earliest identifiable marker dates to 1831. Unlike many cemeteries in the south this one contains the remains of both master and slave, catholic and protestant. It's a fascinating study in the history of Apalachicola.
Finding River Styx Cemetery in Apalachicola National Forest
This is an old pioneer cemetery located in The Apalachicola National Forest in Liberty County. It is back off a forest road and most of the names and dates are eroded or were never inscribed on the tombstones. Some have markings but most don't.
OVERNIGHT AT THE HAUNTED COOMBS HOUSE INN
In this video we spent a whole night in the haunted Coombs House Inn, Story has it that Mr. and Mrs. Coombs built this house and lived in it for a couple of years before it was damaged in a fire that started in the attic. While the house was being repaired Mrs. Coombs died of what people suspect is a broken heart from losing her house. Mr. Coombs died shortly afterwards. They were both buried in the cemetery directly across the street from the newly renovated house and are rumored to still haunt it.

Bosque Bello Cemetery, Fernandina Beach.
Bosque Bello Cemetery, Fernandina Beach. Established in 1798, interment began in 1785 and the oldest identifiable gravestone is that of French Soldier Peter Bouissou de Nicar, 1813. This ground contains and old and new sections and we’ve chosen to focus on a small portion of the old section as the old section of the cemetery is simply too large to encompass in a single video or album. This site is a beautiful and rich in detail and history as any we’ve ever seen.
Hypnotizing perspective on Apalachicola River
SteveTanner.net - I'm walking under a railroad track by the Apalachicola River, south of Lake Seminole, Florida. The landscape was a swamp so the track was jacked up for what seemed like miles. The perspective was mind blowing.

Tolomato Cemetery 2018
Tolomato Cemetery is located in St Augustine, Florida, the oldest European-founded city in the United States, and was in use as a cemetery from the 18th century until 1884. This beautiful space is the last resting place of some 1,000 St. Augustinians, including many people important to the history of Florida and the United States. It is a distillation of St Augustine history in less than one acre, starting with the First Spanish Period, when Tolomato was a Franciscan mission, and going through its use as a cemetery during the British Period and the Second Spanish Period and then on through Florida's Territorial and early Statehood periods.
It is an evocative place about which there are many legends and tales, but which also reveals the real stories of the real people. It reminds us of the connections of this tiny place, on what was once a strategic point but is now a vacation coast, with people throughout the world. Burials include those of people from Spain, Cuba, Ireland, Minorca, Italy, Greece, Africa, Haiti, France and the American South and Northeast - as well as the graves of soldiers from both sides of the Civil War, and even the burial place of a man important in the history of Cuba, who may one day be declared a saint, Fr. Felix Varela. There is no place in St Augustine that is a richer distillation of our history, which is the story of lives lived in rural poverty or in town comfort, soldiers and militia and battles fought or not fought, political and personal conflicts, faith and - even holiness - all on this tiny peninsula.
The cemetery is open to the public once a month. Visit it, learn about it and feel yourself surrounded by the past of this historic city.
