A fly-through experience on Malaysia Airlines from Kota Kinabalu to Ho Chi Minh City with transit in Kuala Lumpur. This domestic-international flight was great with awesome service from Malaysia Airlines.

KOTA KINABALU, MALAYSIAN BORNEO | WHAT TO DO IN A DAY (SAPI ISLAND)
Kota Kinabalu, the gateway to Malaysian Borneo. Yeah, I was confused too about this region of the world! Borneo is split into 3 countries, Malaysia, Indonesia and Brunei...and Borneo itself is known as one place as a whole even though it's technically 3 different countries that all share the same big island.
Now that that's over, we can get down to what you can do in Kota Kinabalu. In all honesty, I had absolutely no clue what I was going to do there - I wanted to do some rainforest exploration and take in some nature, but when I landed in KK I quickly realised that there actually isn't that much going on here except for a few islands...all the cool stuff online was in Sepilok so I kinda felt like being here was a bit of a waste of time at first.
Luckily, with the help of my friend we went walking along the harbour and found a boat to take us to some nearby islands - one of which is a tiny place called Sapi Island. It was beautiful, I had an awesome time and I hope you get a few ideas of what you can do in KK by watching this video!

Trip to Sabah (Kota Kinabalu - Kundasang)
Our family trip to Sabah on 25th - 28th November 2017. Actually, there are so many places to visit in KK & Kundasang. But these are the only places that we're able to make during the trip. Maybe because we spent so much time in one place.

A Glimpse of Kota Kinabalu, Sabah in Malaysia
I recently got a chance to travel to Kota Kinabalu (aka KK), the state capital of Sabah, Malaysia. The population of Kota Kinabalu is approx 700,000++. The population today in KK is a mixture of many different races and ethnicities.
In Kota Kinabalu, its climate with constant temperature and a considerable amount of rain and high humidity. There are two influence monsoons which are the Northeast Monsoon and the Southwest Monsoon. The Northeast Monsoon is in between November and March; while the Southwest Monsoon is in between May and September.
For those who love scuba diving, should check out Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park.

Malaysia Airlines MH2619 : Flying from Kota Kinabalu to Kuala Lumpur
Malaysia Airlines domestic flight from Kota Kinabalu in Sabah, Eastern Malaysia to Malaysia's capital city, Kuala Lumpur on a new Boeing 737-800.
This flight was pretty uneventful but was still enjoyable.
Flying time was 2 hrs and 25 min with Scheduled departure being 08:45 am and arrival being 11:10 am. However, we departed and arrived early thankfully. It should be noted that this flight has since then been withdrawn and no longer exists at the present moment. My seat for this flight was 22A on the right side.
The aircraft for this flight was a new B737-800, 9M-MXN.
Overall, there were some things great and some things not so much on this flight. But, not so bad as to prevent me from flying them again, which I did, in May 2015.

Also in Malaysia, but in Kota Kinabalu, at Tzu Chi`s year-end blessing ceremony, volunteers performed sections of the musical adaptation of the Water Repentance Sutra, where they also invited members of the public to take part. Among the the performers, was a father from Japan who, despite the language barrier, was determined to take part in the show.
