Hua Hin Monkey Mountain (Khao Takiab ) Thailand - Chopstick Hill, Wat Khao Lad Temple
Khao Takiab mountain, better known as Monkey Mountain, is a famous mountain overlooking the beaches of Hua Hin, Thailand.
There are thousands of monkeys that live at the mountain and in the area, and they love to hang out at the base of Wat Khao Lad temple during the day.
If you want to feed them, they sell bananas, corn and peanuts at a small shop near the temple. If you walk around with food and drinks in your hands then you are just asking for trouble. The monkeys are extremely curious and pretty daring at times. They are even known to grab food right out of peoples hands and climb all over you.
Of course, I had to check this place out! And, I'm happy I did.
Also, be sure to walk up the stairs to the temple at the top - the views are AMAZING!

Hua Hin Beach and Khao Takiab (Monkey Mountain) // Hua Hin, Thailand
Some might call Hua Hin a shitty, quiet beach town, but I had a really wonderful time hitting the beach and exploring the area. After getting some sun on the sand, I headed to Khao Takiab, also known as Chopsticks Hill or Monkey Mountain, where I wandered through the temple complex with some monkey companions.

KHAO TAKIAB TEMPLE ON THE SEA HUA HIN THAILAND Travel
Travel Thailand on You Tube :Meaning literally chopstick hill Khao Takiab is dominated by a 272 m high headland that juts out into the sea. It is clearly visible at the southern end of Hua Hin beach. If you approach the hill this way, you are rewarded with the sight of a 20m tall Lord Buddha statue and there are other religious figures, both Thai and Chinese, at the summit, together with a statue of King Rama V. The hill is also know as Monkey Mountain due to large numbers of monkeys (macaques) that are resident there. Whilst not really fierce, care should be taken when they are around as they have a habit of grabbing and making off with anything that takes their fancy, especially handbags and cameras. It is probably better not to feed them as the larger males can sometimes become aggressive if the bananas have run out. Thailand is a nice destination for holiday. If you want eat, there are one cooking place or Thai kitchen just Dowstairs when you exit with some Thai recipe or Thai dishes.

Khao Takiab Area Guide Everything You Need To Know About Khao Takiab Meaning ‘Chopstick Hill' in Thai, Khao Takiab is a fishing village suburb just 10 kilometres outside of Hua Hin.
The Area is defined by its premier attraction the mountain that sits at the top of the road, here you can expect a sensational panorama and a bit of monkeying around – the mountain is home to quite a few monkeys.
Achieving the perfect balance between relaxation and recreation, visitors can take full advantage of the crisp white and relatively secluded shore line where watersports, beachside dining and some serious sun lounging are the order of the day.
The beauty of Khao Takiab is that you can avoid the tourist trappings of Hua Hin while still being just a ten minute drive from the vibrant seaside town.
HUA HIN THAILAND - PHRAYA NAKHON CAVE, KUI BURI NATIONAL PARK, CHOPSTICKS HILL,
Today we're in Hua Hin Thailand.
Hua Hin Thailand is about 3 hours south of Bangkok.
Hua Hin has a fishing village heritage which it still holds onto. The small city revolves around its seafood and strategic position on the shores of the Gulf of Thailand. It has also become a holiday and weekend destination for many Bangkok locals. It is vibrant yet less crowded than Bangokok. Every night many roads are closed off and come alive with street night markets. The main street market rivals some of the best in Bangkok.
We stayed here for its strategic position as a base with which to venture on daytips to some amazing places. Firstly we visit Chopsticks Hill in Hua Hin. From here we visit Khao Sam Roi Yot National park which includes the Phraya Nakhon Cave and the mystical temple within. This is one of the most spectacular sights in all of Thailand. Please stick around for that. It really is a mysterious, surreal experience. It almost feels like you're in an Indiana Jones movie!
From there we go to Kui Buri National Park. Here we go on safari on the back of an SUV searching for Elephants. It is highly reccommended, as you'll see many other animals on the way as you drive through the deep dark, brooding rainforest.
We stayed at the beautiful Chalelarn hotel. It is arguably one of the best hotels in Hua Hin with its authentic decor, sea views, rooftop pool and central position in town.
So this is Hua Hin, Lets check it out.

Khao Tao Khao Takiab 2014 Hua Hin Prachuap Khiri Khan
Khao Tao is a small village around 15 km south of Khao Takiab. The biggest attraction here is the delightful little bay and beach at Hat Sai Noi and the large Khao Tao temple complex. There is a small sheltered bay at Haad Sai Noi with two or three restaurants serving good food, plenty of seating but does get busy at weekends. Swimming is good as it gets deep quick however jellyfish have been spotted here. Khao Tao also has an impressive temple complex with several caves, many Buddha statues, shrines, fishing village, fresh water lakes and lookouts.
The 19 meters tall standing Buddha (Phra Pang Haan Yad) at Khao Takiab (Chopstick Hill) Beach, Hua Hin, Thailand. The hill divides this beach in 2 distinct areas, of which this view of the northernmost part is the most popular. The hill gives a scenic view of the beach, and also houses a temple (Wat Khao Takiab) - look out for the monkeys and take care of your personal belongings.
