Japan Day 8 Shibuya, Senso-Ji Temple, Ginza, Tokyo Tower! || CEBUANA ADVENTURES
We dedicated this day for a tour of the city! We had breakfast in Shibuya, went to church, went to a temple, visited Ginza, Looked for the Tokyo Tower, and then had wagyu in Shinjuku!
APOLOGIES for the shaky take. I'm starting to stay away from the stablizer on my editor since that tends to zoom into the videos. Still getting a hang of taking videos. They will be better in the future! On the other hand, you can choose to look at my pictures instead lol

Osorezan Bodai-ji Temple - Aomori - 恐山菩提寺 - 4K Ultra HD
Alongside Koyansan and Heizan, Osorezan or the Mount Osore, is one of the three most sacred places in Japan. Over 1,000 years ago, a Buddhist priest in search of a mountain resembling the world of Buddha, stumbled upon Mount Osore and its unique landscape, which, according to the legend, was like discovering the world of Buddha itself so he decided to erect the Bodai-ji Temple.
Rich with volcanic activity and a strong sulfur smell, Osorezan is said to be the entrance to the afterlife, where dead souls pass through before being sent to Hell or paradise. Osorezan is also very popular among Japanese for its Bodaiji’s festival where mediums try to help people to communicate with their loved ones.

MEIJI SHRINE (明治神宮, MEIJI JINGU) THE LARGEST TORII GATES IN JAPAN
Meiji Shrine (明治神宮, Meiji Jingū) Largest Torii Gates in Japan | VLOG 114
Welcome to Chill with Del
I'm Rodel Dela Cruz Cariaso
Meiji Shrine (明治神宮 Meiji Jingū), located in Shibuya, Tokyo, is the Shinto shrine that is dedicated to the deified spirits of Emperor Meiji and his wife, Empress Shōken.[1][2] The shrine does not contain the emperor's grave, which is located at Fushimi-momoyama, south of Kyoto.
After the emperor's death in 1912, the Japanese Diet passed a resolution to commemorate his role in the Meiji Restoration. An iris garden in an area of Tokyo where Emperor Meiji and Empress Shōken had been known to visit was chosen as the building's location.
Construction began in 1915 under Itō Chūta, and the shrine was built in the traditional nagare-zukuri style, using primarily Japanese cypress and copper. The building of the shrine was a national project, mobilizing youth groups and other civic associations from throughout Japan, who contributed labor and funding.[3] It was formally dedicated in 1920, completed in 1921, and its grounds officially finished by 1926.[4] Until 1946, the Meiji Shrine was officially designated one of the Kanpei-taisha (官幣大社), meaning that it stood in the first rank of government supported shrines.[5]
The original building was destroyed during the Tokyo air raids of World War II. The present iteration of the shrine was funded through a public fund raising effort and completed in October 1958.[6]
Meiji Shrine has been visited by numerous foreign politicians, including United States President George W. Bush, United States Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, and German Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle.[7]
On the eve of new year, Japanese usually visit a Shinto shrine to prepare for the worship - Hatsumōde (初詣) of the new year. Meiji Shrine is the most popular location in Japan for hatsumōde.[citation needed]
Shrine complex
An aerial photograph of Meiji Shrine and Yoyogi Park (1989)
Meiji Shrine is located in a forest that covers an area of 70 hectares (170 acres). This area is covered by an evergreen forest that consists of 120,000 trees of 365 different species, which were donated by people from all parts of Japan when the shrine was established. The forest is visited by many as a recreation and relaxation area in the center of Tokyo.[2] The entrance to the shrine complex leads through the Jingu Bashi bridge. Meiji Shrine is adjacent to Yoyogi Park which together is a large forested area. The entrances open at sunrise and close at sunset.

ShowMe || Traveling Through Japan || Osaka, Kyoto & Tokyo
Studying in South Korea, it is very easy and cheap to travel to Japan. So that is what me and two friends did!! There were a lot of hardships and stress that we went through to prepare for this trip since we didm't know what to do and where to do it. Other than that, it was nice to visit another Asian country while I was in Korea.
Places we went to in Japan:
Okasa - Osaka Lights
Kyoto - Imperial Palace (it was closed),Kinkaku-ji Temple a.k.a the Golden Temple, Ryoan-ji Temple, Kyoto Station, Zojo-ji Temple
Tokyo - Tokyo Radio Tower, Senso-ji Temple, Tokyo Sky Tree Tower, Shibuya Crossing, Tokyo Imperial Palace, Mei-ji Temple
These places listed above are in order of the video.
I hope you all enjoyed our little trip through Japan!!

Japan Trip 5: Ueno Park, Asakusa Sensoji Temple, Tokyo Game Bar, Omoide Yokocho
Here, we make our way to Ueno for a nice stroll through the park with a little surprise and travel over to Asakusa Sensoji Temple!
Later in the evening 3 of us found a really cool game bar called Tokyo Game Bar where you are free to pick and choose any game and system to play. Luckily it wasn't too busy! Important to note that there is an hourly fee which comes with unlimited drinks either alcoholic or non-alcoholic.
Lastly, we have some late night drinks and food at a very popular street alley called Omoide Yokocho which housed little bars and you sit almost shoulder to shoulder with other people. Neat experience especially getting to drink, eat, and chat with the locals!
Senso-ji Temple (Asakusa) - Tokyo - 浅草寺 - 4K Ultra HD
Also known as the Asakusa Kannon Temple, Senso-ji (or Sensoji) is one of Tokyo most popular and beloved Buddhist Temple! According to the legend, in the year 628 two brothers fished a beautiful statue of Kannon, the goddess of mercy, in the Sumida river. Thinking they disturb the resting place of Kannon, they decided to put back the statue back in the river, but, each time they try to do so, the statue magically returned to them. It is after many attempts that they understood that Kannon wanted them to erect a temple for her, and it was decided at that very moment to build what we now all know as the Senso-Ji temple.

Shibuya Japan 2015
While stuck in Tokyo Japan for two days (oversold flights) I decided to make the best of the situation and go downtown to check out Shibuya in the daytime hours. Took the train from Narita to Shibuya and of course visited the new Hooters location there (check out my other channel Nsane Productions or my Hooters site, nsanehooters.com) and also visited that Starbucks you see in Shibuya Sq.
I went to the most visited BUDDHIST TEMPLE in JAPAN! | Tokyo, Japan Travel Vlog
Backpacking Travel Vlog
Tokyo, Japan
January 11th, 2018
In this travel vlog (day two in Tokyo) I visit the Buddhist temple, Senso-ji (the most visited temple in Japan), in the Asakusa district with my friend Eddie. After that, we head up to the top of the Tokyo Skytree for some awesome views of the whole city. We later head to the Shibuya district to check out the famous intersection, Shibuya Crossing. After that, I meet up with my friend Andy and his friend David, as we try the (potentially deadly) delicacy, Fugu fish!

TRADITIONAL Japanese STREET FOOD Tour at Fushimi Inari Shrine | Kyoto, Japan
During my twelve incredible days exploring the Asian island nation of Japan in January of 2019, I absolutely fell in love with the country. The people, the culture, the gorgeous sites, and of course, the phenomenal food, captured my heart. It’s near the top of my list of my favorite destinations of all-time and I believe it’s a place everyone needs to experience at least once in their lifetime. Join me on my latest Japanese adventure!
My Film Making Kit ►
After arriving in Kyoto on the morning of my fourth day in Japan, I met up with my new friend and guide Kosuke, who took me on an incredible tour of Kyoto’s temples and an insanely delicious traditional Japanese street food tour at the Fushimi Inari Shrine! Come along with me as I begin my exploration of Kyoto and gorge on some of its best street food!
Kyoto is an ancient city that is steeped in history and tradition (it served as Japan’s capital for over 1,000 years from the 8th century to the 20th century), and that history and tradition can be seen at every turn. The moment I arrived, I was immediately blown away by how different Kyoto felt from the ultra-modern concrete jungle of Tokyo. Kyoto felt much quieter and much more traditional by comparison. There are roughly 2,000 temples in the city!
My tour began at Kōmyō-in, a sub-temple in the Tōfuku-ji Buddhist temple complex that was founded in 1391. The temple is famous for its Zen garden, maple trees, and cherry blossoms. It’s customary to take off your shoes when you enter any Japanese temple or apartment, so we did so and continued on to the Zen garden, which is covered in moss; contains lots of white gravel (which is raked weekly by the head monk); and has lots of large rocks jutting up from the moss. The rocks represent mountains and the white gravel symbolizes the ocean. You can’t step into the garden; you have to enjoy it from the wooden walkways of the temple.
Inside the temple are several rooms and photos of the temple hanging on the walls. Kosuke also took me to the praying hall, where the head monk reads from the Buddhist bible. The hall contains a statue of the Buddha and is beautiful!
Next, we headed off to get some breakfast at the food market near the Fushimi Inari Shrine, which is a very famous shrine that sees 7,000 visitors per day, including locals who pray for the prosperity of their businesses.
The aroma of the food in the market was amazing! I couldn’t wait to try it!
I started with takoyaki (500 Yen/$4.46), or octopus balls, which are made from a batter containing octopus, red ginger, and cabbage. It was hot, but so delicious with a soft, crème brûlée-like consistency inside, and had a nice takoyaki sauce and bonito flakes on top.
Next was a tofu steak (400 Yen/$3.57), which is tofu on a stick that’s pan-fried and is topped with wasabi, ponzu sauce, seaweed, and bonito flakes. I loved it, especially the texture of the bonito flakes and the flavor of the seaweed! So delicious!
We followed that with gyoza (300 Yen/$2.68 for 3 gyozas), or a type of Japanese potsticker, which was wrapped with chicken skin. It was the best gyoza I’ve ever had! The chicken skin was really fatty and changed the texture of the gyoza. It blew my mind! I followed that with a dried, fig-like fruit that was amazing as well.
As we continued through the market, I bought two Japanese masks (2,000 Yen each/$17.86 each) for my wall at home. We made our way toward the Fushimi Inari Shrine, and Kosuke told me that it became popular after the film “Memoirs of a Geisha” was filmed there.
The shrine’s most popular site is the 10,000 vermilion torii gates that straddle a network of trails going up the mountain. Each gate was donated by a Japanese businessman and is inscribed with the name of the businessman’s company and the date it was donated. The gates are gorgeous!
Next, I visited some miniature torii gates stacked in front of the holy rock, and picked up the good luck rock to see what kind of luck I would have! Let’s just say I hope it was wrong!
I hope you enjoyed my temple, shrine, and food tour of Kyoto! If you did, please give it a thumbs up, leave me a comment below, and subscribe to my channel for more awesome travel and food content!

Kappabashi: Where to get Japanese Knives & Kitchenware - Tokyo, Japan
Where to get Japanese kitchenware: Kappabashi! A look round Tokyo's Kitchen Town at an amazing variety of stores selling Japanese knives, ceramics, plates, bowls and all kinds of utensils.
Even if you're not into cooking, Kappabashi's an interesting place to look round. The variety is amazing. There's so much beautiful tableware, chopsticks, bento boxes, and functional food preparation gadgets, pots and pans. If you can think of any specialist item for making Japanese food, it'll be here somewhere. You can find Kitchen Street in north-east central Tokyo, between Ueno and Asakusa - it's an easy walk from Senso-ji, the famous temple. At the end of the video there's also a look a similar place in Osaka called Sennichimae Doguyasuji.

This is Part 1 of our amazing trip to Japan, a 15 day (wish it had been 3 months) whistle stop tour organised by Virgin Holidays.
We chose mid October, which as it turned out is a little too early for the Autumn colours. Well, except at Mt Fuji! Wedding photography commitments plus the tour we chose (Japan Panorama) dictated the dates we could go. So November would be a better time, at least in central Honshu, Japan's main Island.
The only downside was the weather! It just rained for the first week, 90% of the time. However, we did have a Typhoon midway through, so just our bad luck I guess.
Still, the 2nd week was a lot better and anyway, it didn't dampen our spirits as we reveled in the mix of tradition, culture and Tech which is Japan!
Much more to come and thanks for watching!

Tokyo Skytree and Asakusa ancient temple Senso-ji - 東京スカイツリ
Tokyo 東京スカイツリ is a broadcasting and observation tower in Sumida, Tokyo, Japan. It became the tallest structure in Japan in 2010 and reached its full height of 634.0 meters (2,080 ft) in March 2011, making it the tallest tower in the world, displacing the Canton Tower and the second tallest structure in the world after the Burj Khalifa.
The height of 634 m (2,080 ft) was selected to be easily remembered. The figures 6 (mu), 3 (sa), 4 (shi) stand for Musashi, an old name of the region where the Tokyo Skytree stands.

SKYTREE and SENSO-JI TEMPLE | Tokyo Vlog Day 5
It's my last day in Tokyo and decided I needed to fit in some more sightseeing.
I started off with a trip to Tokyo Skytree. It was a little cloudy so I couldn't see out to Mt Fuji but I still got a decent view of the city (and an overpriced coffee).
I then move over a little to Asakusa to visit Senso-ji Temple. It's one of the oldest and most significant temples in Tokyo. I decided to get a fortune and I finally got a good one! Yay!
I swing over for a stroll around Shimokitazawa. It's a cute neighbourhood with lots of used clothing stores and shops. I'd like to spend more time there. It's has a chilled out, relaxed vibe.
Finally, I finished off my time in Tokyo with a spa treatment in Ginza. Probably the most expensive massage I'll ever get ever.
Much love and happy travels
