Church of the Holy Apostles - Athens (Greece)
The Church of the Holy Apostles (Greek: Ἅγιοι Ἀπόστολοι, Turkish: Havariyyun Kilisesi), also known as the Imperial Polyándreion (Imperial Cemetery), was an Eastern Greek Orthodox church in Constantinople, capital of the Eastern Roman Empire. The first structure dates from the fourth century, although future emperors increase and improve space. It was the second in size and importance only for the Hagia Sophia among the great churches of the capital. When Constantinople fell in the Ottomans in 1453, the Holy Apostles became briefly the seat of the Ecumenical Patriarch of the Greek Orthodox Church. Three years later, the building, which was in a dilapidated state, was abandoned by the Patriarch, and in 1461 was demolished by the Ottomans to make room for the Fatih Mosque.
Koroni, Peloponnese - Greece HD Travel Channel
Koroni (Κορώνη), a small town in the southwest of the Peloponnese on the Gulf of Messina, is about 30 km east of Methoni, 50 km south of Kalamata.
The picturesque town is the popular destination for many individual tourists. The beautiful narrow streets convey the Greek architecture and culture and the traces of the Venetians are still evident in the architecture in many places.
Koroni is dominated by a fort, which is strategically located on a peninsula. The walls merge into the high cliffs which provide a natural protection.
The town was founded by the Byzantines and later ruled by Venetians and Ottomans.
Worth seeing are the castle complex located in the cross-domed church Agia Sophia and the post-Byzantine church Agios Charalambos.

Greece's Peloponnese
Rick Steves' Europe Travel Guide | After enjoying Greece's charming old port town of Nafplio, we'll time-trip through the ruins of Olympia, take center stage at the remarkably preserved theater at Epidavros, and explore the ancient capital of Mycenae. Then we'll wander off the beaten path along the rustic, rough-and-tumble Mani Peninsula, relax in the idyllic beach town of Kardamyli, and marvel at Greece's Rock of Gibraltar: the fortress town of Monemvasia.

Church of Agios Kosmas, Kythira
This church is complete cut off from access by thick thorns, but is supposably built on the site of a temple to Aphrodite. As you can see, there is some evidence of 'spolia' in its construction.
You can access it from the Paleopoli to Fratsia road, on your right side about 2 and a half kilometres from the coast as the road curves around a low hill named paleokastro (it also appears on the road editions map of Kythira). Since taking this video in 2008, the historic site has been cleared and opened by enthusiastic amateur volunteers. You can read more about it here:
