Situated in Julatten, at an altitude of approx 440m. This ensures that there is a milder climate, with less humidity, than the coastal areas of Cairns and Port Douglas. Julatten, which is renowned for its perfect climate, is a small community on the road from Mossman to Mt Molloy - only 25 minutes drive from Port Douglas and 15 min from Mossman.
This property is mostly cleared and fenced and has a great mountain backdrop.
With highway frontage it would make an ideal Bed and Breakfast/Farm Stay.
It boasts an endless supply of crystal clear underground water and several natural springs on the property. This combined with consistent rainfall makes this property virtually drought proof.
This is a perfect cattle fattening property with working cattle yards. There is a fully equipped goat dairy, 3 large sheds and a huge dam. It is situated on the most amazing volcanic red soil which is free draining and can grow almost anything. Current crops include a commercial planting of Lychees, heliconicas & gingers, Paw paws, Mulberries & dragon fruit.
With rolling green hills, which once supported dairying, the area of Julatten provides a real change of pace. More a region than a town, nearby there is the popular Julatten Tavern, a caravan park, general store and petrol station and a school.
