Theme From Exodus! (Cincinnati Pops) (Lyrics) (1960) Beautiful 4K Music Video!
LYRICS:
This land is mine, God gave this land to me
This brave and ancient land to me
And when the morning sun reveals her hills and plain
Then I see a land where children can run free!
So take my hand and walk this land with me
And walk this lovely land with me
Though I am just a man, when you are by my side
With the help of God, I know I can be strong!
Though I am just a man, when you are by my side
With the help of God, I know I can be strong!
To make this land our home
If I must fight, I'll fight to make this land our own
Until I die, this land is mine!

The Cincinnati Pops Orchestra is a pops orchestra based in Cincinnati, Ohio, United States, founded in 1977 out of the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra. Its members are also the members of the Cincinnati Symphony, and the Pops is managed by the same administration. Erich Kunzel, the Pops' founding conductor, continued to lead the Pops until his death in 2009.
In 1965, maestro Max Rudolf invited Erich Kunzel, a young conductor on the faculty of Brown University, to join the Cincinnati Symphony. That October, Kunzel, a Dartmouth graduate and assistant to French conductor Pierre Monteux, conducted his first 8 O'Clock Pops concert. Over the next four decades, the Cincinnati Pops Orchestra regularly performed for packed houses in Cincinnati's Music Hall and established worldwide recognition through tours and critically acclaimed, best-selling recordings on the Telarc label.
An estimated 30 million people have viewed eight national telecasts of the Cincinnati Pops on PBS, and the Orchestra has more than 100 available recordings, 56 of which have appeared on the Billboard charts, a record unmatched by any other orchestra, and sales of over 10 million units. The Pops’ Copland: Music of America won a 1998 Grammy Award, and four other Pops recordings have been nominated for Grammy Awards.
After Kunzel's death on September 1, 2009, John Morris Russell was named in December 2010 as the new director of the Pops, effective September 1, 2011. - Wikipedia

Lawrence of Arabia is a 1962 epic historical drama film based on the life of T. E. Lawrence. It was directed by David Lean and produced by Sam Spiegel through his British company Horizon Pictures, with the screenplay by Robert Bolt and Michael Wilson. The film stars Peter O'Toole in the title role. It is widely considered one of the greatest and most influential films in the history of cinema. The dramatic score by Maurice Jarre and the Super Panavision 70 cinematography by Freddie Young are also highly acclaimed.
The film was nominated for ten Oscars at the 35th Academy Awards in 1963; it won seven in total: Best Picture, Best Director, Best Original Score, Best Cinematography (Color), Best Art Direction (Color), Best Film Editing and Best Sound Mixing. It also won the Golden Globe Award for Best Motion Picture - Drama and the BAFTA Awards for Best Film and Outstanding British Film.
The film depicts Lawrence's experiences in the Arabian Peninsula during World War I, in particular his attacks on Aqaba and Damascus and his involvement in the Arab National Council. Its themes include Lawrence's emotional struggles with the personal violence inherent in war, his own identity, and his divided allegiance between his native Britain and its army and his new-found comrades within the Arabian desert tribes. As well as O'Toole, the film stars Alec Guinness, Jack Hawkins, Anthony Quinn, Omar Sharif, Anthony Quayle, Claude Rains and Arthur Kennedy.
In 1991, Lawrence of Arabia was deemed culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant and selected for preservation in the United States Library of Congress National Film Registry. - Wikipedia

So Cincinnati: Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra
CINCINNATI (Tiffany Wilson) -- The Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra officially welcomes its new music director to the stage Friday. Louis Langree becomes the 13th music director in the symphony's storied history. Local 12's Tiffany Wilson spoke to Langree about the position and why he's leaving Paris to become part of something that is so Cincinnati.
In the moments before a masterpiece, Music Hall echoes a collection of conflict. Starting this weekend, the passionate hands of Louis Langree will make the music whole.
Being a guest conductor is like having an affair,Langree says. Being the music director is getting married.
Tiffany Wilson asked Langree what he is doing that he wants people in the audience to understand well?
They don't need to understand if I do 5/4 bar, or beat 2 plus 3 or 3 plus 2, that is our own cuisine. I just want them to listen to the music and not only listen, but experience it, Langree says.
Watching Langree conduct, you can see the motion in his every move. Concert master Tim Lees says the start of Langree's tenure is a defining moment in the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra's nearly 120 year history.
Someone once put that he is the artistic conscience of the orchestra, Lees says.
Others compare maestros to quarterbacks, deftly guiding musicians through an aspect. In any case, Langree is an important hire for an historic part of Cincinnati's art scene.
In my estimation, Cincinnati can compare to any of the major cities, as far as the arts go. As the orchestra in itself, we're of the highest level, Lee says. We're a world class orchestra, we record, we tour, we do everything the top orchestras do. I'm not sure everybody in this community knows that.
The Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra is the oldest orchestra in Ohio. It's the 5th oldest in the United States. The first orchestra to do a national radio broadcast. This orchestra has sold more than 10 million records around the world. CSOs success stems from years of strong community support and hours of rehearsals each week. For a city the size of Cincinnati to have an orchestra of this caliber is, frankly, unheard of.
Langree agrees saying the sound of CSO pulled him across the Atlantic.
This clarity, this crystal clear attacks the transparency of the sound, but also the density, the richness, the beautiful velvet color.
This weekend, audiences will discover the dynamic combination of German music directed by a Frenchman and brought to life by an orchestra that's so Cincinnati.
This isn't Langree's first time conducting in Cincinnati. He was the guest conductor for the wildly successful Luminosity concerts over the summer. Tickets for this weekend's performances start at 12 dollars.

Dixie! (Norman Luboff, Disney Choir, Boston Pops, Louis Armstrong, Cincinnati Pops) (Lyrics)
LYRICS:
Oh, I wish I was in the land of cotton,
Old times there are not forgotten,
Look away, look away, look away Dixie Land!
In Dixie Land, where I was born in,
early on one frosty mornin',
Look away, look away, look away Dixie Land!
I wish I was in Dixie, Hooray! Hooray!
In Dixie Land I'll take my stand
to live and die in Dixie.
Away, away, away down south in Dixie.
Away, away, away down south in Dixie!

Dixie, also known as Dixie's Land, I Wish I Was in Dixie, and other titles, is a popular song in the Southern United States. It is one of the most distinctively Southern musical products of the 19th century and probably the best-known song to have come out of blackface minstrelsy. It was not a folk song at its creation, but it has since entered the American folk vernacular. The song likely cemented the word Dixie in the American vocabulary as a nickname for the Southern United States. Most sources credit Ohio-born Daniel Decatur Emmett with the song's composition.
The song was a favorite of President Abraham Lincoln who to the chagrin of some Northerners (Yankees:) asked that it be played as a gesture signifying that the United States was once again whole and at peace after America’s most devastating war (hopefully ever!).
Historical buffs like to argue whether the war was fought over States Rights or Slavery but in reality it was fought over both. Abraham Lincoln was an amazing President & God’s Man for the Time. Slavery was horrible but God used it for good. Our Country has been blessed immeasurably by Black Culture & w/o it our Nation would be much poorer! Besides, our food, music, sports, preaching, NBA would suffer immensely w/o our great black influence!
While this music will not be popular with Snowflakes because they consider it NOT to be P.C. - today, just enjoy the song played here by Disney & a Boston Orchestra & sung by a fabulous Black Man! Think how much poorer our nation would have been w/o George Washington Carver, Michael Jordan, Sammy Davis Jr, Clarence Thomas, Allen West, Herman Cain, Ben Carson, Thomas Sowell, Jackie Robinson, Tony Evans & millions more just like them!
The South, Dixie, the Confederate Flag, The Bible Belt, Great Awakenings, America’s Founding Fathers’ Christian Principals are not popular today by Progressive Liberal Democrats because of their ultimate hatred of all things Christian including the Bible & Jesus Christ!

Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture, Op. 49 - TELARC Edition in HD - FOR AUDIOPHILES - WARNING! Live Cannons
Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture, Op, 49. TELARC EDITION - Erich Kunzel conducting the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra. WARNING! - Digitally recorded LIVE cannons, recorded with the Virginia 5th Regiment. This video has been done in HD and offers 720p for the best I can offer you in audio on a computer.
HOWEVER, GET READY TO BE AMAZED At the SUPERIOR audio quality that is present in this video. I hope all who requested it will enjoy what I have accomplished.
This video was made using MAGIX Movie Edit Pro 17 HD software. It is my first attempt at using this software, so please forgive the quirks and mistakes in the video pictures.
When I worked in the top end audio field, this TELARC Edition was not yet out on CD, so the challenge was to get the turntable ensemble working to perfection. My choice of turntable was the belt driven, reference Linn Sondek LP 12 (which I still own) with a Koetsu arm, tipped with a Kiseki Blue, Silver Spot Low Output Moving Coil Cartridge. This was one of two arm/cartridge combinations, that I knew of, that sailed over those cannons without playing hop-scotch. The other was the Linn Ittok LVII mk2 /Asack combination, which I was also fortunate enough to own in black. Today, on CD, these cannons are ten time more devastating.
WARNING - PLEASE find out on a lower volume, how your sound system will respond to the two cannon salvos. The first salvo consists of five LOUD shots. The second salvo a couple of minutes later, consists of 11 (Eleven) LOUD booms. Serious damage can occur to your speakers if your sound is not ultra clean. I would advise AGAINST using a Graphic Equalizer with this CD. Graphic Equalizers only tend to muddy and distort sound in order to give those that use them, the floppy, boomy and mucky, muddy sound they seem to want. Graphic Equilizers are also responsible, to a large degree, to the phenomenon within the Audio field known as Listener's Fatigue.

Telarc International made recording history in 1978 when they used digital audio technology to record the 1812 Overture. With its live cannons and phenomenal dynamic range, it quickly became a favorite demo disc in many audio stores, and the ultimate test for my new CD player and system.
The advent of multi-channel discrete surround sound and high-definition audio recording systems such as 24/96 PCM and the DSD system, with its frequency response extending beyond 100 kHz and the availability of Super Audio CD and DVD-Audio, were enough to coax Telarc to create a new recording of the 1812. The new recording is even more taxing on your sound system than the original.
Deciding to release the recording on the latest DSD recording equipment, the music, Civil War-era cannons, and the church bells were captured in different venues.
The recording is mixed to include optional height information using the LFE channel. Telarc's height information is used to drive a pair of elevated side, preferably dipole, speakers. The height information does add to the overall effect, particularly with the cannons. Even without the height effects, this is a great demo disc, one I demo frequently for myself when my wife is out of the house - the pictures are straightened before she returns!
The review above, was taken from Amazon.com and was written by David C. Canfield. I took his review because I could not have said it better myself.
