Europe Place is the most extraordinary attraction in Slovakia, which is situated right in the heart of Komarno’s historical center in a pedestrian zone. Term place suggests that it is not a standard square with fall-in streets, but sort of big courtyard accessible via gates. The basic idea of establishing the Europe Place shows the common roots of the European culture. The essence of the architectonic solution is that the individual buildings of the square present the architectural signs of the European countries and regions of Europe in a styled form.

Základná idea vzniku Nádvoria Európy poukazuje na spoločné korene európskej kultúry. Podstatou architektonického riešenia je, že jednotlivé budovy námestia prezentujú v štylizovanej forme architektonické znaky staviteľstva širokej palety európskych krajín a regiónov. Nachádza sa tu viac ako štyri desiatky budov, postavených v mierke jedna ku jednej, ktoré reprezentujú architektúru a stavebné slohy typické pre temer všetky európske štáty. Obdivovať, prípadne aj porovnávať je možné budovy z Walesu, Vatikánu, Írska, Talianska, Transylvánie, Islandu či z Grónska.
