SOMA Trio - Amazing Grace with Bach
I absolutely love the piano trio arrangements of Christian Korean songs done by the famous SOMA Trio. I recently bought two of their books so you can expect more of these performances to come out in the future.
I thought this piece would be especially perfect as a belated Mother's Day gift to all the mothers out there.
The person who arranged this is a genius. Who would have ever thought of putting the theme of Amazing Grace and Bach's Prelude in G major from Suite No. 1 together at the same time! And if you listen closely, when the the piece changes to the key of A-flat major, the piano part also shows themes of Bach's Violin Partita in E major. Isn't it amazing?
Thank you Sofia Kim (violin) and Julia Yang (cello) for agreeing to play with me in this amazing trio. We make one heck of a team! :)
