Brand New ThyssenKrupp hydraulic elevator at Brandeis Hall, Creighton University, Omaha NE
Shot 5/1/2015.
The day immediately after I went to UNO, I went back to Omaha and filmed elevators at Creighton. Note: I decided to avoid the Medical center (across U.S. 75). I know people who work there and I don't want to pay a surprise (for me) visit to them while filming elevators.

Drivers of Citizenship Policies in Asia: Identity and Economics
by Lt. Col. Tania M. Chacho, Ph.D.
Academy Professor and Director of the Comparative Politics Program
United States Military Academy, West Point
Granting an individual formal and legal inclusion into a country as a citizen is one of the most basic, yet powerful, functions that a government performs. Determining the characteristics required of the individuals who seek to become citizens allows a country, through the creation of policy, to pursue its interests in two significant ways: first, through shaping critical elements of its collective identity; and second, via exerting influence on the human capital entering into the country. A government's criteria for citizenship can thus reveal the prioritization that it places on these components of its national interest at any given time.

“Nebraska Star Party”
“It’s a celestial celebration like no other in the country. The 25th year of the Nebraska Star Party welcomed people from all over the country to some of the darkest skies in the nation. At Merritt Reservoir in Valentine, young and old, novices and well-versed veteran stargazers gathered to witness the night sky as it was seen before the invention of the lightbulb. This multi-day event draws hobbyists who seek to escape light pollution in the sanctity of the Sandhills.”
“The Hat Maker”
There are around 60 custom hat makers in the United States and one lives in the heart of the Sandhills. Using antique tools and machinery, Kaycee Orr Hoffman is a master of her craft. She’ll build any hat you’d like, but her cowboy hats are among the finest made - bar none.

UTRGV Men's Basketball Signs Two for 2019-20
May 16, 2019 – EDINBURG, Texas – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Men’s Basketball Head Coach Lew Hill announced on Thursday the signings of 6-8, 225-pound junior forward Anthony Bratton and 6-8, 185-pound junior forward Sita Conteh for the 2019-20 academic year.
Bratton comes to UTRGV from Indian Hills Community College, where as a sophomore, he averaged 5.1 points and 3.9 rebounds while shooting 63.4 percent from the field and 72.7 percent from the line.
Bratton started his collegiate career at Butler Community College, averaging 7.7 points and 5.0 rebounds while shooting 53.3 percent from the field and 72.4 percent from the foul line as a freshman.
Originally from Omaha, Neb., Bratton played his senior season at Burke High School, averaging 13.7 points, 2.5 rebounds and 1.7 blocks while shooting 57.0 percent from the floor. Bratton played her first three years at Omaha Westside High School, averaging 18.0 points, 8.2 rebounds and 1.3 blocks while shooting 61.5 percent from the field as a junior.
“Anthony’s a big, strong young man,” Hill said. “He’s athletic and has strong hands. He’s similar to Terry [Winn III]. Anthony has a chance to be really special. We want him to really help us with rebounding and scoring, inside and out. He can shoot up to 15 or 17 feet and we can throw it to him on the block to score. His athleticism and physical presence should be really good for us.”
Conteh comes to UTRGV from Williston State College in Williston, N.D., where as a sophomore, he averaged 12.0 points, 4.4 rebounds and 1.3 steals while shooting 44.8 percent from the field, 36.8 percent from behind the arc and 71.8 percent from the foul line.
As a freshman, Conteh averaged 10.4 points and 5.1 rebounds while shooting 44.8 percent from the field and 74.2 percent from the line.
Originally from Sierra Leone, Conteh completed high school at New Visions Charter High School for the Humanities II in the Bronx, N.Y. Conteh originally started at Samuel Gompers Career and Technical Educational High School, where he averaged 15 points and 12 rebounds per game in 2014-15 before the school closed. Conteh also played AAU basketball as part of Team AJ Price.
“Sita is a long, skilled three-point shooter who can handle the ball, pass it and shoot it,” Hill said. “He gives us great versatility, which is what we’ve been recruiting. He can play multiple positions. When we switch defenses, he’ll be great at it. We’re excited to have him. I think he can do some unbelievable things.”
Bratton and Conteh join 6-6 junior guard Chris Freeman, 6-5 junior guard Rob McClain Jr, 6-6 freshman forward Connor Raines, and 6-7 redshirt sophomore Sean Rhea as part of the 2019-20 recruiting class.
