The LONG Journey from Istanbul to Cappadocia, Turkey
Vlog #528 Istanbul to Cappadocia, Turkey // In today’s huge travel vlog, we had to take 6 means of transportation, which ended up being 8… because we got on the wrong bus going to the wrong airport! It was a super long day, but we still had time to go in an airport lounge! AND it was all worth it to get there because Cappadocia and the cave we booked to live in were both awesome! Plus we filled you in on our Ramadan experience :)

Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married June 2013 and quickly caught the travel bug! We started “travel hacking” and taking more trips together and finally decided we wanted to travel for one year. After 2 years of saving $ and travel hacking over 2 million miles and points, we sold our cars and apartment and left home January 10, 2016. We started this YouTube channel to share our experiences with friends and family, then decided we really liked vlogging and traveling. So we extended our 1 year trip to THREE years :) Now we have a goal of traveling to 100 countries before Nate turns 30 (which is March 20, 2019)! We are incredibly thankful to do something we love every day. :)

Rick Steves' Europe Travel Guide | We marvel at the fascinating landscape of Cappadocia from high above in a balloon...and from deep below, prowling an underground city where Christians once hid out. We’ll join a circumcision party, explore troglodyte ghost towns, shop for sheep at the market, and chat with an imam. Then we enjoy the modern capital, Ankara, and pay our respects to the father of modern Turkey, Atatürk. | © 2014 Rick Steves' Europe

Vanlife Explorers Visit Cappadocia Turkey – Episode 3
When the invitation arrived for me to join Canadian globe trotters Live.Travel.Play for a short while when on their Turkish section of their world tour, I jumped at the opportunity.
Back in part 1 & 2 we experienced skies full of hot air Ballons and some amazing cave exploring in the side of mountains at The Red Valley Cappadocia. In part 2 there was still no shortage of exploring but that time for us it was all about tracking down the best food and drink as well as putting Lucky, the Vanagon through it's paces by taking it off road once more.
In part 3 we explore the biggest underground city in the area and have one last explore of an area we found by pure chance. This ended up to be the best yet..
Lucky's 2WD suspension lift kit can be found here,
Lucky's rear wheel carrier and tray can be found here,
The quality camping chairs and other equipment can be found here,

Turkey (Listeni/ˈtɜr.ki/; Turkish: Türkiye, pronounced [tyrkije]), officially the Republic of Turkey (Turkish: Türkiye Cumhuriyeti, pronounced [tyrkije d͡ʒumhurijeti] ( listen)), is a contiguous transcontinental parliamentary republic, with its smaller part in Southeastern Europe and its larger part in Western Asia (i.e. the Balkans and Anatolia, respectively). Turkey is bordered by eight countries: Bulgaria to the northwest; Greece to the west; Georgia to the northeast; Armenia, Iran and the Azerbaijani exclave of Nakhchivan to the east; and Iraq and Syria to the southeast. The Mediterranean Sea is to the south; the Aegean Sea to the west; and the Black Sea to the north. The Sea of Marmara, the Bosphorus and the Dardanelles (which together form the Turkish Straits) demarcate the boundary between Thrace and Anatolia; they also separate Europe and Asia.[9] Turkey's location at the crossroads of Europe and Asia makes it a country of significant geostrategic importance.[10]
Turkey has been inhabited since the paleolithic age,[11] including various Ancient Anatolian civilizations, Aeolian and Ionian Greeks, Thracians and Persians.[12][13][14] After Alexander the Great's conquest, the area was Hellenized, which continued with the Roman rule and the transition into the Byzantine Empire.[13][15] The Seljuk Turks began migrating into the area in the 11th century, starting the process of Turkification, which was greatly accelerated by the Seljuk victory over the Byzantines at the Battle of Manzikert in 1071.[16] The Seljuk Sultanate of Rûm ruled Anatolia until the Mongol invasion in 1243, upon which it disintegrated into several small Turkish beyliks.[17]
Starting from the late 13th century, the Ottomans united Anatolia and created an empire encompassing much of Southeastern Europe, Western Asia and North Africa, becoming a major power in Eurasia and Africa during the early modern period. The empire reached the peak of its power between the 15th and 17th centuries, especially during the reign of Suleiman the Magnificent (r. 1520–1566). After the second Ottoman siege of Vienna in 1683 and the end of the Great Turkish War in 1699, the Ottoman Empire entered a long period of decline. The Tanzimat reforms of the 19th century, which aimed to modernize the Ottoman state, proved to be inadequate in most fields, and failed to stop the dissolution of the empire.[18] The Ottoman Empire entered World War I (1914–1918) on the side of the Central Powers and was ultimately defeated.

Reno Omkri Visits Caves In Cappadocia Where Christians Hid From Persecution
Below are pictures and a video showing Reno Omokri in the caves of Cappadocia, Turkey where the early Christians hid from the persecution of the Roman Empire.
This shows the struggle that the early Christians and Apostles passed through for Christianity to go global. The Christians were an outlawed sect and had to live in caves in City outskirts as exciles. Peter, a disciple of Jesus Christ corroborates this:
1 Peter 1:1
Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, To God's elect, exiles scattered throughout the provinces of Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia and Bithynia,
Stratonikeia Antik Kenti 2018
