Paradise found
We spent a lovely summer morning at Paradise (also known as Paradise Pool), a stunning waterhole near Linden in the Blue Mountains.
As well as enjoying a swim and lazing on the sandy beach, most of us took turns leaping off the waterfall and then a high rock ledge into the deep pool.

Visit to Katoomba. Blue Mountains, Australia.
I rediscovered this footage in my video library and decided to edit it together and post it.
We visited Katoomba for two days in April 2012 and really enjoyed it. Most of this video was taken at a tourist place called Scenic World. I'm usually keen to avoid crowds put despite the hoards of noisy tourists this was well worth the visit.
Attractions include access to the base of the cliffs on the worlds steepest incline passenger railway (52°), rainforest walks, cable car, and skyway. The natural environment in this area is simply stunning. I hope to visit again some day and explore the area some more.
Thanks for watching.

Imbil Trip - 20&21 September 2014
The Rum City Offroaders Inc Bundaberg Trip to Imbil.
The drive to Imbil was a relaxed cruise. We stopped at Imbil store to get supplies and fuel and met a local 4wder, his name was Arran in a Maverick shorty. We let him know where we were going and he said he might catch up with us.
We headed off to Borumba dam camp site, set up camp and got ready to go for a drive. About 10:30 we headed to the fire break run a 6.5 km climb which turned out to be a pretty easy run because the track had been wet and compacted. Driving down through the rocky creek bed & turning right along the rangers tracks soon got us to our next destination, the Ski Slope. Slowly we made our way up rutted clay tracks, a couple were pretty tricky & getting steeper as we went, coming across rocky out crops with step ups. Vic nearly flipped Shorty & all of us required winching except Clint. He made it look like a walk in the park.
Onwards & upwards we went cruising along the ridges at altitude of 350 metres with very steep drop offs, going down around 150 metres. Some very nice scenery, it seems the mountains go forever up there. We did get a little lost but worked it out. Then we had a very steep descent, loose rocks, drop downs, slipping and sliding having a ball and yes it might have been a little scary but a great drive. Then we had a 70M steep downhill, clay badly rutted slide on our bellies to complete, good time had by all. We all made it safely to the bottom and decided to go for a run to Pat’s hill. Some fun had there and headed back to camp.
Clint downloaded the movies and photos. We got some rain that afternoon and into the night we thought it would make the tracks to slippery for driving on Sunday.
Got up in the morning skies were clear so after brekkie we hit the tracks for our steady Sunday drive. Darren was the first stuck on a hill but just needed a tow up it was a bit slippery getting to the dam look out. Nice views, we spent a few minutes taking in the fresh country air & scenery.
Next we headed down to dam level going down it was steep and slippery. We thought it was going to be very hard to get up. We were left wondering if we could get up, while all of us had smoko at the dam. Someone was trying to contact us on the radio on the way down, it was Arran from Imbil, he had come to show us more tracks and have a drive for himself. So we went for our koits to get back to the top, great fun even if shorty was getting a bit hot. No one got stuck there was some second attempts made to get up.
Then we just drove blindly thought the forestry for a short time when we decided to let Arran take us to the fire tower lookout. After a little bit of road driving we were soon going uphill again. About half way up there was a couple of hard to do play areas Shaun, Clint, and Vic all had ago but we could not get up so we moved on though some gates, up and down nice tracks eventually getting to the look out.
There was some chatter going on while we had some snacks. Said goodbye to Arran and thanked him taking us on another good run Thanks again. It was a nice downhill run back to camp to pack up and head home.

Twisties #3: Campbell Pocket Road and Mt Mee Hotmix with sideview
Tried this camera angle hoping to portray owning a bit more accurately on a vid;it turned out OK. Wish I had tucked my shirt in, so I have to apologise for exposing the Bonds. Campbell Pocket Road is a hidden little shortcut up the range to the lookout at Mount Mee. It's a rougher, sometimes single lane, tight and technical section that demands respect. The second part of this vid is Mount Mee heading downwards via the Hotmix (smooth road covering) on the D'aigular/Woodford side.
By watching this mystical, almost magical video, you have been transported into the world of Vroom. Broom. Zooooooooooom. A place of bikes, of dodgy mechanic solutions and camera mounts, a place that we hope you return to time and time again to dive into the incoherent and often idiotic ramblings of a MAN called Andrew. I use the term MAN loosely. Enjoy, no, bathe in the magnificence of a rider sampling the roads and sights of the world (let's face it, it's going to be Australia because he's a poor ba@#$rd), sharing his undies and inner-most thoughts with those who care to watch. The weapon of choice at the moment is either a Honda CBR1100XX or a Hyosung GV250 Aquila. I do hope you subscribe and join me on my outings.
