St. Anne de Beaupré, famous Quebec's Catholic Shrine is located just 20 miles east of Quebec City. The largest pilgrimages to Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré come for the feast of St. Anne (July 26) and the Sunday closest to the feast of the Nativity of Mary (September 8). The celebrated Cyclorama of Jerusalem, the day of the Crucifixion, at Saint Anne de Beaupre, Quebec, since 1885, is recognized as being a masterpiece of panoramic painting, the most artistic on the American Continent.
The scene of the death of Christ on the Cross, and the view of the city of Jerusalem and its environs on that day are here reproduced in painting by a master hand, on a circular canvas, 45 feet high by 360 feet in circumference.
The landscape reflects a strange light, giving to this panorama a mysterious solemnity and grandeur impossible to describe. The haunting background music is echoing a dire, foreboding moodiness.
The narration, beginning with the lament of Jesus for Jerusalem, is an amalgam of scriptures merged from the four gospel books in the Bible. It ends with the awe struck centurion pointing to heaven and proclaiming that Surely He was the Son of God.

So Saint Anne catches up with Jesus and they compare a few things from 2000 years ago to today's society as well as a very special gift!
